Agreed. I hope we keep Crayton. He has been solid and I would like him even more if he kept his mouth shut.

I am worried about our OL. The injury bug hit them hard. The only preseason game I saw throughout was the Texans game. I know our offense was just bland but our OL was getting dominated the entire 1st quarter. Thankfully they began blocking better and Romo wasn't on his back so much. I am SO pumped for opening day against the Redskins.
 
Also, hopefully Buehler can keep up the work he has done during the preseason and it will solve our problems.

I also love the fact that our young players played well yesterday. Butler, Lee and Owusu-Ansah all making numerous plays.
 
O-Line once again is my main concern with this team. I've been touting Free nonstop and he's already the best lineman on the team. Unfortunately, the rest of them looked bad aside from Kosier, who's in doubt for the Washington game.

Davis and Colombo are looking old and slow. They're probably the strongest at their positions in the league at this point, but like Larry Allen at the end, it doesn't count for jack if you can't get to the second level consistently. Gurode is constantly called one of the best centers in the league, but I don't see it. I'm hoping in Colombo's case, cleaning his knees out helps him. We need his mean streak out there, but not if he's gonna play like he did in the Minnesota game and the preseason.

The good news is we finally have some young prospects who intrigue me. Namely Phil Costa, Travis Bright, Sam Young and Robert Brewster. I hope we can hang on to all four or slip whichever one gets cut to the practice squad.
 
Im not sure if bringing back Hudson Houck was a great idea.
He always emphasized strength over finesse but guys tended to slip when there weight got out of hand and became one dimensional.
Not accusing him directly since I really havent heard much about what goes on but the Olines pass protection is highly questionable.
Houcks blocking/coaching isnt suited for Garretts fuckin 7-12 step drops wait for half an hour for the combo routes to finally open up style of playcalling.

Isn't Garrett's offense a variation of Norv's? Wasn't that Houck's line Emmitt was running behind?

Anyway, Crayton just got sent to San Diego for an undisclosed pick.

McQuistan's worthless ass just got shipped to Miami - that we got anything for him is a miracle.

The article has us apparently receiving a 7th for Crayton but it doesn't have anything for McQuistan yet.

I'm very glad they were able to get something for Crayton. I thought he would end up just getting cut. Then he probably would have done a whole lot of nothing for somebody else in the division.
