Looks like TM is on some bullshit because when I purchased mines there was only 4 seats left in row K now 4 more is available all of a sudden and closer, not by much though, to midfield. That said get seats 7 and 8 if you can so I can be all in your shit when we styling.

Hopefully those seats are still there come Friday which is when I get paid. If all things are a go tomorrow after I get off the phone with my buddy I'll buy mine Friday.
 
I ended up going to the first pre-seasn game. Left once Zack Robinson came in.

Few things about it.

- Stafford looked great. His throws in game were sharp, quick, and were bullets. His only bad pass ironically was still good enough since Burleson was able to stretch out and get the toes in bounds. In warm ups he was flicking the ball 50 yards with almost no effort. Its been said to death, but if he stays healthy, hes going to be our QB for the next 10 years.

- Best is fast. He got to the corner faster then I thoguht he would. He looks recovered from them toe injuries. Hopefully he lasts. I dont think he'll have a great season rushing, but boy is he going to get a lot of receptions.

- O-line was great passing, almost no pressure, but the run blocking is still god awful. We had the RB getting tackled a step after getting the ball over 50% of the time. Thats going to be a big problem all year long. This is where the Leshoure injury will hurt us because he had the ability to shrug off that first tackler more than the RBs we currently have.

- DLine is nasty. they get penetration almost every play. They feel just as good as last year.

- The CBs and secondary are still unanswered. We weren't going to find out anything with them playing against Andy Dalton. Guy is a fucking bum.
 
Lions are overrated. They'll have a 500 season, but no playoffs yet. Still need a corner, and the injury bug to go away.
 
Quick thoughts from the game vs the Pats.

Stafford is for real, everytime he throws the ball its BEAUTIFUL, 24/31, his stats are 356 Yards 5 Td's, 0 Int's, 154.0 QB Rating this preseason.

This game felt more than a pre-season game, the sold out crowd was nuts, the Lions starters sent a message: We can hang with the best of them.

The Dline looked great considering they were missing KVB and Fairley, Suh had a couple of great shots on Brady. The whole line put tons of pressure on Brady, and he made unbradylike mistakes the entire half.

I NEED MOAR TITUS YOUNG. His first grab a 19 yard rec. I can't wait to see what he does when he gets more than a few days worth of practice.

Our RB's are still worrying me, Harrison has shown flashes of being a good player, but he still isn't playing at the level we need him to.

I know this is just preseason (insert 2008 preseason story here) but this team looks great.

I'm really really really excited for the start of the season.
 
Other than the fact we have no running game, I really think the Lions looked good. That being said, I'm dreading the fact that I am hopeful for this season.
 
Pre-season games mean nothing. I believe Detroit will be a much improved team this season, but drawing conclusions on pre-season games is stupid.
 
I was one of the people that said the Lions were overrated but I have to admit they have looked very nice and Stafford does look for real. He just needs to stay healthy. I can see them passing the Bears and Vikings in the division (those two aren't that impressive) but we'll see. I still wanna see them in the first couple weeks of the regular season before I say anything about making the playoffs as a wildcard.
 
Definitely has me worrying about week 1 with how we have looked the past 2 weeks. Granted I havent watched last nights game and only saw what NFL network was showing but we cant seem to score TD's unless its a 2 min drive. We need to implement some more hurry up offense. That said Im not gonna panic but we better be ready week 1 because Det has been looking good.

The outcome means nothing but the fact that our starters out played the Pats starters means something.
 
R.I.P Tom "The Killer" Kowalski

He was my favourite Lions reporter. It's such a shame he will never see the team he lived and breathed win a Super Bowl :(
