Pitt/Cuse to Join ACC

Can TCU just say "thanks but no thanks" and not join the Big East because the conference membership has drastically changed from the time they accepted the Big East's offer?

LOL at this. Syracuse played a huge role in making the Big East a bad football conference. They have arguably been the worst major football program of the last 10 years. Pitt hasn't really helped either. If they had ever become as good as they should have been, then people wouldn't be so upset that the Big East got an automatic BCS bowl bid. But when you have a mediocre Pitt team going to BCS games and getting blown out by Utah while undefeated Boise State gets shut out every year, then people are going to question the Big East's legitimacy.

When did I say it wasn't partly their fault? Syracuse has been terrible (Greg Robinson ruined their program) and Pitt has been mediocre (Albeit we were on the best 3 year run for Pitt football in a long time) but that doesn't mean it's all their fault. When the Big East got raided previously, it completely ruined Big East football. The BCS bid is another discussion because it's flawed. Was Pitt even good enough to play in a BCS bowl game that year, hell no and I said they'd get blown out before that game even happened. There are flaws in college football, but my point was that why should Pitt and Syracuse get shit for leaving a dying conference, but the whole reason this went into play was because of other expansion?

2) When the Big East got raided, it was because the Big East had turned into a joke. The conference was weak enough as it was, and it was very top-heavy. It should have been a blessing for Pitt/Syracuse that the top 3 football teams left, and yet the conference still kept their automatic BCS bid. What happens? West Virginia takes over, and then UConn steps in from 1-AA and immediately becomes the top team in the Big East. What a farce!
