Rotoworld reported that there are 3 NFL teams that are interested in Vick as a QB. I think he's the exact same player as he was before he went to prison. Like mentioned before, he paid his dues and his crime may be major but other players in the league have done worse and have had way more chances than vick has had. Did you pay any attention to our draft? All of our selection's were very high character guys who have a team first mentality. Shanahan was more then willing to bring in questionable players, remember when we almost signed T.O. or the Maurice Clarrett fiasco? At this point I'd say the Bronco's interest in Vick is minimal, Vick doesn't fit in the offense McDaniel's runs, so unless he plans on throwing together a wildcard system, we won't be going after Vick. Although I will admit it would be nice to get Vick as long as we don't give much up for him. He brings an interesting skill set to the table. I wouldn't want him to be the starting QB, but he could definitely make plays.

My roommate and I have been going round and round on this for a few months now. My entire point in our debate has been exactly what you've said here. Sure he's served his sentence but that was for criminal charges. I argued that he should not be allowed to have his NFL suspension be served concurrently with his prison sentence. At the very least he should be suspended for the upcoming season!

Let's not act as though Vick didn't ruin his life himself. He did. If Pacman is convicted in that nightclub shooting then I agree he should also be banned but up until this point Pacman has not been convicted of anything as serious as Vick.

Exactly, and added to this he got caught by fluke. IIRC the raid that uncovered the dog fighting ring was actually meant as a drug raid aimed at Vick's cousin and teh feds just stumbled ass first into Vick's illegal venture.

This is the third or fourth time I've seen this little segment dropped. I don't understand why you guys keep posting that shit, because no where has anyone said that these guys SHOULD be walking free. It just so fucking happens they are.

Vick does need to pay his retribution to the NFL - regardless of the money they earned off of Vick's mere presence in the league - the NFL is not a normal job. A normal job is not something under the spotlight 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

You realize all the bullshit you just typed doesn't mean anything because he was charged by the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT and not by the individual state and that's what he is currently serving the time for.

If Vick keeps his nose clean then he will serve NO TIME for his crime under Virginia law and only has had to pay a $2500 fine so far.

The point is Vick is reaping what he sowed. Every one knows Vick is at fault. If Vick doesn't get reinstated he can piss and moan and cry and blame Goodell all he wants but at the end of the day he is directly responsible for what has happened to him and forcing the hand of those above him to make decisions.

Vick doesn't "deserve" a second chance at the NFL. If he gets one. Fine. But he is entitled to nothing and to act as though he is is flat out wrong.

Umm no. He actually got right at what the crime calls for. On the higher end of the sentencing guideline but that's to be expected because he was the ring leader. For his crime on the illegal interstate commerce charge and the animal cruelty Vick got right about what the FEDERAL statute calls for.

Gosh, I get annoyed by these sort of comments. Yeah, Vick was caught, which is why he apologized and this is typically what happens. Who apologizes for something that no one is aware of? This is just the nature of being caught in the act; and an "apology" is something people (society) expect.

Vick is going to get another chance, but it probably will be after a year’s suspension. Goodell isn’t going to just let Vick back in the league that easily, as he’s going to make Vick jump through the hoops and try to appease people before just letting him back in.
