Games are still running long. I know a lot of games went to OT but I think I heard that just one game this week has lasted 3 hours or less.

As I've been saying throughout this thread my issue isn't necessarily with individual bad calls but the overall flow of the game being impeded by the inexperience of these refs.

I'm with you, but they are in fact worse. They are making the wrong calls, screwing up challenges, screwing up the punishments of penalties, etc. They do not know what they are doing. They are far worse than the original refs because they don't know what the punishment of specific penalties entails. It's not about their judgment calls.

nope,its about their judgement call as well. They just simply dont know what they are doing in all aspects.

what kind of slush fund does the NFL have now ? they fine players for hits all over the place now and are saving money on not paying real refs $8000 a game

Titans got an extra 12 yards because the referee spotted the ball from our 44 instead of their 44. Made their field goal 26 yards instead of 38, when Bironas had missed 2 earlier in the game. Not the reason we lost, but still disappointing.

To be fair, they never should have overturned the Stevens catch on that play. There was no definite evidence to suggest that ball hit the ground.

Announcers are freely saying/critiqueing the poor job they are doing. The Commish is a self righteous quieter version of Al Davis. The league needs to wise up and get some experience in there.

The league needs to double the fines, and potentially consider suspending the players who have gone insane on twitter. Allowing the players to react like this towards officials only makes things worse. These guys need to be muzzled, and fast. You can not let the inmates run things.

Hell, the $55,000 in fines for John Fox and Del Rio combined will probably be paid off by the players. I totally agree with doubling the fines, and considering the nature of some things, possible suspensions.

Granted, the officiating is far from perfect, but it's going to continue spiraling out of control, until something is going to happen on field where a huge fight erupts and someone is seriously hurt.

How do you usually deal with incompetent employees, you fire them. The NFL refuses to fire these incompetent refs that have now, beyond a shadow of a doubt, cost a team a game. That makes for two straight terrible Monday Night Football games in a row for the league.

If you worked with someone who was continually fucking up at your job to the point of hindering your ability to do your job and rather than them getting punished for messing up your bosses took it out on you for calling them out on their inability to do their job I'm pretty sure that would make just about anyone upset.

Throw in the immense pressure these coaches and players are under from fanbases of millions on weekly basis to perform and win games I totally understand where they are coming from.

Goddell wants to be a hard ass and show that he doesn't give a fuck about the product he's putting out there on the field I can't blame the coaches for not giving a fuck about calling him out on it.

The refs, part time employees mind you, are demanding pensions.

First of all pensions? Really? Is this 1960? Secondly, the league doesn't pay some full time employees pensions.

Why is nobody blaming the refs and their greedy union?

Plenty of people at fault here, starting with the real refs (the ones who apparently are awesome and never make mistakes ever).

How exactly are they going to punish the bad crews? These guys are replacements, they aren't worried about getting held out of playoff games because they know they won't be around by then anyway.

The league already came out and told these guys to tone it down this week and nothing happened because at some point things begin to boil over.

Maybe based on Goddell track record as the Commish so far mutiny isn't such a bad idea. I can't think of one positive that has occurred since Tags passed the torch.
