I doubt finding out (if true) McNair was an adulterer would change anyone's opinion of the football player. Sad but most sports greats are not faithful (not all, but a good chunk).

We're not there but it probably looks like a murder/suicide. If there are no forced entry's into the home, and the multiple/single bullet facts plus the news that police are not actively looking for suspects...

Maybe they got into an argument...wonder where the gun came from (she purchased it, his or what?)...the ex was talking about how they hoped to get back together, maybe he's just making that shit up.

Steve McNair was a great quarterback,an inspiration to black quarterbacks everywhere.He was a leader and a true warrior,and he gave back to the community of Nashville,Baltimore,and Hattiesburg,MS..I have much respect for him as a football player and thank him for the many great moments he gave us Titan fans everywhere.

I also must say it is widely known throughout Nashville and MS that Steve was cheating on his wife.This is one thing I couldn't respect him for.There is going to be a nasty end to this murder that will tarnish McNair to alot of people outside of Nashville,but alot of people here knew Steve was an adulterer,and now he must face the ultimate judgement. I'm still in utter shock about this. First time I've cried over a celebrity/athlete dying since Darryl Kile died while pitching for the Cardinals. He was an outstanding player, a true warrior, and despite what allegedly went on between him and this other woman, was a great man off the field. Could be possible. He might have been told to end it by Mrs. McNair after the embarrassment of him being in the truck he bought the 20 year old girl when she got arrested for DUI on Thursday night was making the local news.

Still could have been the ex-boyfriend of the girl catching them off guard and making it look like a murder suicide but that is probably not as likely.

There was also a stretch of his career where the Titans has a better record in games started by Billy Volek and Neil O'Donnell. The offense would frequently perform much better when the "warrior" would sit a few out with his various ailments.

as for McNair, i dont know if he was a lock for the HoF before he died as i dont know his stats off teh top of my head, but he was a top tier QB for a long time.

Barely over 60% completion percentage, never threw for 4000 yards, career high 24 TD passes (and only threw for more than 20 three times).

He was a good player, nothing more. He's not a HOF caliber QB.

As for the bold, he stole and MVP. He "shared" it with Manning, who had better numbers across the board, and who's team finished ahead of McNair's in the standings, and beat beat McNair head to head twice that season. McNair's co-MVP was a lifetime acheivement award from the writers, who clearly liked him and couldn't wait to give him one the first chance they had. Manning got screwed.
