I was watching the games at this bar in New Orleans that had Sunday Ticket. The only Broncos fan in there was fucking hilarious. Was wearing a Tebow jersey, Broncos official windbreaker pants, Broncos socks, Broncos flip flops, blue and orange striped wrist bands and head bands, etc. There was even a car parked out front with #1BRONCO or some such on the vanity plates.

Needless to say, he was the loudest most obnoxious character in the entire bar. And there were like 30 Jets fans in there too, so that's saying something.

After the field goal went through he ran out of the bar, only to come back five minutes later with a bottle of champagne and offering everyone "FREE SHOTS!". (I wish I was joking.)

BTW, Florida has been pretty awesome since Timmy left haven't they?

Well I'm sure having his successor skip town under the cloud of academic impropriety, or their head coach flying the coup shortly thereafter, didn't have anything to do with Florida's downfall.

Nope. It was all Tebow. He was the only pillar holding up that otherwise also-ran football program. Once Tebow left it was all she wrote. Florida had never won shit before him and will never win shit after him. He is the only reason Florida football was even relevant. Excellent point in his favor.

I love how you just totally leave out my retort to your idiotic Favre comparison and the first part of that story about how even when criticized by a former teammate Tebow was all class about it and when that team went up in flames after he left and he could have gone after the guy (an opportunity there is no way Favre would have passed up) he just let bygones be bygones.

Well of course I would attack the weakest part of your argument. You seemed to be asserting that the fates of Florida football post-Tebow somehow amplify his achievements. I don't see how they have any correlation.

I wasn't trying to directly compare him to Favre, simply pointing out that sometimes there is backlash when the media spends too much time hyping up a player. "He has so much fun out there!" is no different than "look at Timmy the leader!" It's an overused narrative device that sometimes garners eye rolls from neutral observers.

And I am totally shocked that teams have obnoxious fans. This new news you have brought to light is very interesting to me.

Most articles I've read have been critical of his ability as an NFL QB so I don't know what you're talking about there. Solomon Wilcots was critical of him all game long on Sunday pointing out just about every time he missed an open guy down field.

I'm talking about him being a "better person". Not on the field. That's a lost cause already. You point to numbers, numbers don't count. Every victory is the greatest ever, I'm done caring about that. NFL game coverage is beyond retarded anyway.

What I'm trying to deal with is the perception the media and fans alike have that the rest of these idiots can barely formulate a sentence and don't donate any of their time or money into good causes but Tebow. Boy howdy! Look at all the good he does!

I just would love for Tebow to be covered fairly. He's put on a pedestal that he shouldn't have and it's disrespectful to players and our intelligence.

Denver won the game Sunday. Tebow was 9-13 for 121 yards and 2 TDs + a 2pt conversion run on the last two drives in regulation when it mattered the most.

There's a better argument.

They were playing the worst team in the league and the only reason a comeback was necessary is because he had 4 completions up until that point.

Yep. And winning via getting shut out for 99% of the game and then needing an onside kick recovery late in regulation and a fumble recovery in overtime is certainly a sustainable and repeatable strategy that more teams should employ.

Really. He probably brought them there to bring awareness to where ever he was, not to as a publicity stunt for him self. People just can't get over the fact that he's a good guy.

I don't think anyone is trying to claim Tebow is a good QB, however he got the job done and thats what matters. People like the style of play he brings to the field.

Every team offensively has a bad game, just look at the Ravens offense last night. They are head and shoulders above Denver talkent wise and they did just as bad as Denver offensively last night against the Jags and Flacco has been in the league 3 years. Yes, Flacco has taken to the Ravens to the playoffs but everyone has a horrendous game.

Give Tebow more than 4 starts before deciding to rip him. See how he does with the last 10 games before drawing a conclusion

First of all.. Indy is pretty clearly the worst team in the league after Sunday night. Second it was his first start of the season and third Denver is a bad team too.

The only reason we weren't winless going into that game was because we got a gift win from Cincy in week 2. Go back and look at what Green Bay did to us a couple week's back.

Denver is for all intents and purposes just as bad if not a worse team than Miami talent wise and that was before we traded away our leading WR.

So yeah, we beat one of the worst teams in the league. But on the whole that Miami team is still probably better than Denver across the board and they were at home.

Kyle Orton had a shot at two comeback drives against the Raiders and the Titans and fell on his face both times. I'll take the guy that steps up in those spots over the guy who folds every time.

Indy would beat Miami right now. You know this.
