The problem with this entire "re-chase" they want Bryan to do...the end game is beating Randy Orton...he's not a draw, never been one, will never be one...he's a glorified nobody who Bryan just got done beating two months ago in a mid-card feud. He's never drawn a dime. The collective fucks given for Randy Orton couldn't fill a pint. This isn't Mick Foley beating The Rock and Steve Austin...Bryan already beat the top guy...this would be a different story if you had him working with Brock Lesnar or The Rock...but its Randy Orton...no one cares about Randy Orton.

Orton isn't the lead heel, here. The McMahons are.

And Bryan tapping Orton two months ago ended up meaning something. It planted the seed that he's better than this guy, but is getting screwed.

For once, they booked something well in advance, and stuck with it. Bryan will emerge a top level player. He broke the glass ceiling. He even appears done acting like a complete Eric Young geek. Embrace this, it's good.

You guys are insane if you can't see how this is a positive step for Bryan and the WWE. Sure, it's "McMahon-a-mania" but clearly the end result is to get Bryan over and that's a positive. They aren't going to give him an angle this important, this big, witht his many of their key players for nothing.

Triple H isn't really a draw...Vince McMahon is well past any expiration he had as a draw as a talent. Also, "McMahon versus" had one run where it was a good gimmick where going over meant something and it just so happened to be with the best draw of all timez. They've tried is several times since, and it hasn't gotten over.

Nothing here will put Bryan over more than he just was when he beat Cena.

This isn't one step back to take two steps forward. Its one step back to maybe take one step forward.

As I explained in an earlier post...this technique has never worked.

Why are you focusing on Orton? He's positioned as a goof, a paper champion who won under the cheapest of circumstances and who Bryan already tapped out.

Bryan is in a much better position than Orton here. Are we watching the same show?

Except, Orton isn't the focal point... he's the pawn. Bryan, however, IS the main attraction.

I'm loving this whole direction they've taken Bryan. Sure, part of the cause is Cena's elbow apparently forcing him to be out x # of months, but so what. Bryan is the #1 babyface in the company right now and for the past 3 years, that would've drawn laughter.

We just saw Daniel Bryan elevated to legit top star in 48 hours. I'm not understanding why this is bad.

What are you doing with him then? So he wins and then what? This at least gives him something to do angle-wise, with the major players in the business and much like Austin, the big money and the big build comes in the chase and the champion getting the title he rightfully deserved yanked away from him.

I think we're talking apples and oranges with that Punk vs. HHH/Nash/Del Rio shitshow and this one. I don't think you guys can honestly say that they are the same. You and I both know this one has already been done WAY better.

I'm not sure what you don't get...yes, he already beat Cena...that moment made him...putting him back into the chase again isn't going to make him bigger than he just was made.

This technique of thinking that having the babyface re-chase after getting there just doesn't work in getting the talent over more than he already was...they've tried it several times and it just hasn't gotten people there.

This is a similar program to the one with Punk after SummerSlam 2011, just take out Del Rio and Kevin Nash and input Randy Orton and the Shield with HHH still involved. Punk re-chasing didn't make him a bigger star than he was when he already beat the top guy. Its really that simple. You're essentially replaying the chase with less meaningful characters.

To dumb it down, its like on Dexter when they tried to re-capture the magic of Doakes with Joey Quinn.
