Fuck memphis. They honestly don't deserve a 1 seed at all.


edit:their only quality win is MAYBE against Gonzaga but even Gonzaga is overrated. They lost to Xavier, Syracuse and Georgetown too. Syracuse is 8-7 in the Big East and Georgetown is 5-10. They are in no way deserving of a number 1 seed and they may not be deserving of a 2 seed imo

Last time I heard Joe Lunardi talk about them, he said they would need some big teams like, Pitt, UNC, UConn, and Oklahoma to tank it in the conference tourneys for that to happen. Their RPI is behind all of them including dook and Mich St and their strength of schedule is a 41.

The highest RPI ranked team they've played is Xavier at 12 and they lost to them. They've also lost to Georgetown and Syracuse. But looking beyond that you have to look at their signature wins, where are they? Tennessee and Gonzaga? They have a lot of work to do to get a 1. I'm not saying it wouldn't happen, but that they would need some serious help. Them playing in CUSA and not scheduling anyone/having the teams they scheduled and thought would be better has really hurt them this year.

Again, they could get a 1 seed but they need help. Their record alone isn't going to do it.

I do agree that they need help but the Big East is really up for grabs (the tourny that is) and anything can happen. I just don't think they deserve anything higher than a 3 seed because they play in a weak conference and don't schedule high quality opponents. Tennessee also is a signature win and Gonzaga is on the fence as a signature win or not imo

Too bad Dominic James broke his foot...Marquette could have contended for the national title. Kansas has actually looked good the last couple times I've seen them play. Louisville has looked tough, too.

Gonzaga has Senior night tonight against South Carolina Upstate. Besides the game the pre-game ceremonies should be good. Plus it's a chance for Andrew Sorenson (crowd favorite because he walked onto the team as a sophmore after being told he'd never make the team as a freshman) to get his first ever start AND will actually play more than 4 minutes of clean up.

I watched the Pitt-Marquette game last night. Marquette was very impressive for being without a point guard, but Pitt pulled away at the end.

Pitt is a smart, physical team. They make their open shots and Blair is hard to stop either in the paint or on the boards. But they are not an overly athletic team, and while I've seen them beat both Marquette and UConn, the only way they stopped either team was by getting away with murder on defense. It could be another early NCAA exit for Pitt if they come up against an officiating crew that doesn't allow grabbing and hacking.

When Pitt beat Uconn they got away with the most hacking I have ever seen and on the flip side of it Thabeet was called for the tackiest fouls which obviously hurt us because he had to go to the bench. Blair was able to do what he wanted inside because he would lower his head and get the foul called on him. Alright sorry for my ranting lol

Quite frankly, Dannny Green is the better player to Henderson this year yet Henderthug will be first team all ACC and in contention for POY yet Green will be lucky to make ALL ACC 2nd team. Holy fuck I hate dook.

Kentucky v Florida was being billed as a potential NCAA play-in game.

After both teams embarrassing losses last night, I feel they both have sewn up NIT bids.

Yeah, the Kentucky loss was the worst because it was at home against a putrid team. Its amazing how many teams got upset last night...#11 LSU lost to Vanderbilt. Texas Tech ended up killing Kansas by 20. Missouri beat Oklahoma. And Northwestern beat Purdue.

Im glad i turned the UK v UGA game off last night to play some killzone2, i couldnt take it anymore and wouldve been more pissed to witness the buzzer go off and them lose to Georgia for the 2nd time in 3 years.

I doubt anyone watched the rematch of the "worst game of the century", Penn State v. Illinois, but it was horrible again. I saw something I've never seen in basketball. At the end of the 1st half with the clock running out, Illinois heaved up a prayer 3 pointer. The ball bounced off the backboard and off a Penn State player when the buzzer sounded. Unfortunately, the refs somehow decided to call an "over-the-back" foul on Illinois, despite the fact that there was no "over-the-back" violation (since everyone was just standing around watching the ball in flight) and that the half was essentially over. The refs reviewed the replay and decided they had called the foul before the buzzer sounded with 0.2 seconds left in the half. Penn State made 1 of 2 free throws, and ended up winning the game by 1 point.

I think the NCAA should investigate the refs for potential association with gamblers. I've never seen anything like it.

I've tried to erase most of the Big 10 games I've watched from my memory. Penn St with the win though just stamped their ticket to The Big Dance IMO and Illinois most likely just made themselves at best a #5 seed.

So my Eastern Washington Eagles just did something extremely unexpected. They scheduled a game against St. Mary's next Friday after both the Big Sky and WCC tourney are done. St. Mary's obviously trying to make a late push for an at large bid and they want to show the committee what they look like with Patty Mills back in the lineup. Just a crazy game though. The Eagle players all thought their season was done (didn't make the conference tourney) and now they get to play one last game against a future NBA'er. It'll be interesting to see if this affects the tournament selection committee.
