Maybe it had something to do with Godric being in the sun at sunrise, compared to Eric/Russell being in the sun in mid-afternoon.

EDIT: Nevermind, both were around sunrise. No clue haha.
 
Kinda lame finale i gueess

no idea whats gonna happen with Jason, Sams story up in the air, same as Tara, although i do like her more with short hair, shes still lame.

One thing i hate about the show that they might not touch on, is if Sookie is a fairy, then so is Jason, but i think they solved him not being hunted, seeing as how most of his storylines are in the morning, but if Sookie cant be glamoured, either can Jason i'm guessing, or maybe its part of her telepathy stuff, and her hand power maybe.

Kinda laughed at LaFayette? yelling at one dude bc hes a male witch, also, you can tell when Rene put his hands on Arlene, she kinda was uneasy, probably just a actor mistake since the character isnt supposed to feel it i think

i did read a bit ahead about the series, novel, but i think Eric is hiding something, just covering it up by revealing everything about Sookie

funny how HBO had 2 failed interventions tonight, 1 with Entourage, the other with True Blood, but i do think Hoyt's mom buying a gun was too much, you know Tara hates Bill, but you dont see her getting a gun to defend her best friend. unless maybe the gun is for Hoyt :shifty:
 
Not a great finale.

The whole Russell/Eric/Sookie/Bill/Queen storyline - I can't really complain, however, Sookie going to fairyland at the end is a bit of a boring ending. The Bill-Queen fight scene ending was Wolfman bad. LOL.

Sam storyline - It actually ended well...Sam has an edge, but the storyline seems long, drawn out, and overall, boring. At least it gives Sam a character moreover being a bum.

Lafayette and the introduction of witches - Started off lame, got better as time went on. Lafayette learning to become a witch should be interesting. Him being able to see everyone's secrets is going to be interesting. Makes sense seeing Jesus as a demon witch, Arlene's husband, and Sam's bloody hands (good foreshadowing).

Tara - Good, get her the fuck out of here.

Jason - So, now he is the leader of the were-panthers. Terrible. A whole lot of junky storyline for that.

Andy on V - would be glorious for comedy.

Hoyt/Jessica v. Mom/Summer - actually a decent storyline.

Females have Sookie's traits, while men have the trait of being irresistible to women (explains Sookie's grandmother falling for a fairy king).

a bad season followed up by a bad finale. the best storyline had the worst outcome. everything surround bill, snookie, eric and russell had a terrible outcome.

the cliff hangers are really gay because they are cliffhangers that dont matter.
think about them and tell if you really are compelled by any of them

I think a lot of shit happens to give the audience an exciting moment but then 5minutes later that scene feels pointless.

 
Lats episode ended with Eric and Russell mgith die, then boom 5 mins into this one Sookie just runs out there and pulls them back inside.

Then you have Bill basically get rid of Eric, then what do you know, 5 minutes later Eric is standing at the door.

They build up killing Russell and shit, but then have the cool idea of cementing his ass when you very well know hes going to get out of that cement next season. What a waste of time.

Then to top it off, people were right, Bill started with Sookie because of a job, but fell in love with here. Like wtf how unoriginal.

Thank god Tara cut her hair, apparently that's all you need to start over. Hopefully she just keeps driving and we never see her again.

I think yes, and while I like the depth to Sam's character, it was a lot of time devoted to something with little payoff.

Terrible set up on that...should have been saved for next season as Bill attempts to hunt down everyone who has drank Sookie's blood. Would have been even better if Bill was evil after all this time and he just wants Sookie's blood for himself.

Eric....has no story now
I have a feeling he'll be involved a lot in Vampire politics (one of the more interesting aspects of the show) and be facing off against Bill a lot next season

all excellent points. Another one during the season was Russells whole crazy vamp routine. After the killing on TV i expected him to 'unleash hell' sort of thing.....but it just kind of fizzled out into a grief stricken lover type of crazy that is all to cliche

yeah a few episodes back after bill almost drained Sookie and Tara kicked him out of the Truck in sunlight he didn't burn up at first, then slowly started to burn, that was the whole point of tricking Edgington into drinking was that he would think he would be able to stay in the sunlight but bill told eric that it was only temporary.

Yeah something's definitely up with her, the scene with her and Arlene in the circle made that pretty clear, but she wasn't in the finale at all.
 
upon watching the finale, and having a few days to think it over here and there, I have come to the conclusion that season 3.........absolutely sucked.
 
well I am not as eager for S4 as i was for S3, but i chalk that up to not really caring about any of the cliffhangers that they left us with, so i guess in that respect S3 was the worst season

I'm gonna try and put that first comment behind me.

Allow me to rant....

This show would be 10x better if it left Bon Tomps or where ever it is they stay. Arlene, her boyfriend, Hoyt's mom, Andy Bueffler, Sam's family(what purpose have they brung to the show?), and 90% of the other locals. Yeah SOME of them played their part and added to the show in the past, but they need to be on camera less and less.
IMO this show was best when the main people were in Dallas, the small town people get boring as fuck, same shit different day.

Obviously the strong part of this show is Vampires. Season 3 should've been loaded with scenes between Bill,Eric,Russel,Sookie,Lorena etc... and actually explaining stuff. Not just talking about secret Vampire stuff knowing the audience has no clue what they're talking about.
And instead we're forced to sit through countless meaningless scenes between the people in Bon Tomps and more specifically Merlott's.

Season 2 was way better then this because it kept moving foward. With every episode Jason was getting further into the church cult, Sookie was getting closer to finding Godric, Mary Anne was closer to destroying the town etc.. Season 3 reminds me of the last two Pirates of the Caribean movies, people were changing sides and had alternate motives so much it was pointless to watch. You might as well just skip to the end to see where everyone landed.

Also this show is trying to hard, fairies and witches? What's next, Jason finds out he's really a ghost, Terra gets abducted by aliens, and Arlene's baby becomes possesed by the spirit of it's dead dad?

This season was awful, this show definetely is not better then The Vampire Diaires.

It's Bon Temps ("Good time", As in let the good times roll) and I don't know if I agree. While I did like the stuff in Dallas, and the stuff in Jackson, and I agree that season 2 was way more in depth and better carried out/more interesting, I can't just say I'd want a show to completely uproot it's entire setting.

It's only been done two or three times in TV, that I can think of.

Saved By the Bell (great result)
Weeds (terrible result)
The Torkelsons/Almost Home (LOL why did I watch that show)
 
I could have sworn Houston created another thread recently for season 4 but I guess not since I couldn't find it. Season 4 premiered tonight and they have the 1st two episodes on HBO Go. I watched them both and the season kicks off so much better than the third season. Anyone else watch it?

 
I really hope Bill just goes beserk this season and stops holding back the monster the flashbacks always show him to be.

The fairy thing still seems kinda iffy though, but I still dont have a fucking clue where they are heading with that.

I couldn't make it through season 3. I like fucked up shit as much as the next guy, but the episode where Bill is fucking that chick from behind and snaps her neck around? Just seemed almost too much. Lost interest then.
