And? I get it. I get all of it. No problem.
The point is that it is Babcock's system. Everyone is saying Canada dominated the entire game because of shots on goal, time on attack, hits, the amount of puck possession they had, etc...Babcock's system. It's not "dominating the game" when the same things are true of terrible teams who lose all the time (i.e., the Wings this year), because it is expected of that system.
Meanwhile, nobody gives credit (I can only assume because it is the US who won, and not some other country) to the US for dominating via their "system"...blocked shots, interceptions, not allowing too many open shots. They dominated just as much in the "system" they were executing as Canada did in their "system."
Ergo - it is ridiculous to say Canada dominated the entire game, when both teams just simply executed each of their gameplans correctly, one with probably a little more luck than the other.
