They should satire this whole thing in an episode of South Park.

I'm not that big of a gamer. I had both for a while when I bought my xbox last fall but when I started police academy it just collected dust. I was running out of money so I sold it. I play shooters and sports games that's about it. It's tough for me to choose between the two since I've had both though.Comment

If this whole PSN outage has done one thing, it's made me rediscover some of the games I had all but forgotten on my PC.Comment

Week from hell here. So as I mentioned after the incident I had with charges trying to be made to my credit card and my google account being breached, I purchased LastPass and switched all my passwords.
Guess who got hacked yesterday. Thats right, LastPass. Unreal. They seem to be handling it well though. Doesn't sound like much was taken and they have taken measures to keep users secure.
And as if that weren't enough, we fired an IT guy at work this week cause he got caught snooping around in the HR database. I called up my insurance company yesterday evening and added identity insurance to my renters insurance.
I don't know what I did to piss off the gods but the chance of this happening once to someone is relatively small. 3 times in one week here. It's like a cruel joke.Comment

Wow, that is some grade A bullshit.
Ok, so I was listening to the CAGcast and the Joystiq podcast earlier and BOTH confirmed that Xbox Live was COMPLETELY DOWN for a week at the end of 2007 into 2008 (although Chris Grant from Joystiq misspoke and said 2006 into 2007), and was sluggish, spotty and just plain crappy for an additional week after that. I remember not being able to get on for a week yet there are people on this site that swear it was never out at all.
Now I know that PSN being down for this long because of hackers and Live being down from overwhelming traffic on the service are two different things, but I wanted to point that out to 360 nut huggers like Maynard.Comment

We will be offering PSN users the opportunity to select two PS3 games from a list of five, as well as offering PSP users the opportunity to choose two games from a list of four. We will let you know exactly what games are available very soon.
edit - there has been no clarification as to wether they will be actual PS3 games or PSN games ... my guess would be the latterComment

any guess what the list of games to choose from could be? i hope they are good ones and not some crappy ones that have been there from launch.

It's Europe only for now. Hopefully we get the same deal. I would love for one of the games to be Outland but I doubt it. I just found out that Housemarque makes it and I love Stardust and Dead Nation.Comment

i dont care what joystick or cagcast says...my XBL was never done for a week. funny how no other die hard gamers recall it being down. Sluggish for a few days? yes it was...but never down. Even still...who cares?
if your bent on comparing...did it ever go down for weeks and expose 24 million users to identity theft and credit card fraud? i think notComment
