Falcons offense held to 150 yards in beat down
Saluki and True Frosh Booker combined for 4 sacks
True Frosh Bryan Williams forces an incompletion
This loss could possibly set the tone for an average to below average season for Coach Shola. His team not only was held offensively to 150 yards, but they also lose key players for a couple weeks. Wide Receiver Mario Jones is out for 2 weeks with a strained shoulder and LB Gary Pearson is out for 3 weeks with Back Spasms. These are huge hits to both offense and defense for the Falcons.
The only good coming from this game is probably the play out of each starting true freshman. Bryan Williams at RE was a force stopping the ball carrier 4 times and also causing 2 incompletions as he hit the QB. Charles Booker at DT showed why he was a 3 star recruit with 2 sacks and 5 tackles. Rookie RT Doug Bennett allowed no Sacks and pancaked a defender.
Next week will almost 100% be a loss. Can they pull off the upset of the century, though?
