NCAA Suspends Oklahoma Coach for Next Season

Indianapolis, IN - The head NCAA committee has announced that they plan to take away 5 Oklahoma scholarships for next year and will suspend head coach Bob Stoops for the 2011-2012 season.

It was discovered that Bob Stoops, who accused Indiana coach Anthony Thompson of paying a recruit to play at Indiana, had made up the accusations and faked a video showing Thompson paying highly-touted recruit John Wilson to play for the Hoosiers.

"He payed him! I saw it!" accused Stoops yesterday. "I stand by my original thought, and will not change my mind for a while. Until I see some physical proof that he didn't [pay John Wilson], I am assuming that he did."

"I'm glad the NCAA cracked the whip against Stoops," said Indiana coach Anthony Thompson. "I was losing a lot of fans because of the accusations. I'm glad that it was proved that this was all a hoax. Now I can continue to build up the Indiana program as normal."

John Wilson was unavailable for comment, but his parents were. "I never thought he would get caught up in all of this," said his father, Philip Wilson. "I guess that's the price you have to pay when you are a top recruit. Good thing I never was."

Philip Wilson was a lightly recruited defensive end in high school, and ended up playing Division 2 football with the Bowie State Bulldogs. He entered the NFL Draft, but was never given a tryout.

Indiana Enjoys First Bye Week of Season

Bloomington, IN - After 12 long weeks for the members of the Indiana Hoosiers football team, they finally get to enjoy a bye week.

"It couldn't have come at a better time," said defensive end Steve Butler. "We're tired, sore, weak, and ready for a break. As much as I love playing football, even I think that I need a week or two off from games."

For the first time in school history, Indiana hasn't had a bye week since week 1. "I think it was a mistake on my part to schedule no bye weeks until week 14," said coach Anthony Thompson. "Without a bye week, our team had no time to recover from long and tough games. As a result, we fell apart at the end of the season, which is why we lost two of our last three games."

Not only does Indiana have this week off, they also have the next Saturday as well. "To an athlete, bye weeks are a mix of heaven and hell," said safety Andre Lagrone. "The competitive side of you wants to go back out and hit somebody, whereas the rest of you wants to rest because you have aching limbs and torn muscles. I speak for all athletes when I say that if given the choice, the competitive side would win, and you would be playing in a game as soon as possible."

I like the recruiting for an Indiana team that hasnt been recruiting very well since Lee Corso coached there. lol

Glad to see you know the history of Indiana Football :D. Recruit shitty players, play shitty, lose games, fire coach. It never changes. Except this year, when they're gonna go to a BOWL GAME!
