Big 10 Considering to Add Notre Dame

Indianapolis, IN - James E. Delany, head of the Big 10, announced yesterday that he was considering adding Notre Dame to the Big 10 for the 2012-2013 season.

"They have no conference, and they are right in the center of the Big 10 area," he announced yesterday. "They are a big enough school, a talented enough football team, and they would fit in very well with the Big 10 atmosphere. I feel that it is in our best interesting to add them to our conference."

Notre Dame, the 3rd winningest NCAA football team of all time, is the best team in ANY sport that isn't part of a conference. "I've missed the opportunity to be in a conference," said star quarterback Jimmy Clausen. "That is one of the drawbacks of playing at Notre Dame. Even though I will never get to be part of the Big 10, I hope that future Fighting Irishmen will have the great opportunity that I am missing."

The addition of Notre Dame (if it happens) will force the Big 10 to split into 2 divisions, with the winners of both facing off in the Big 10 Championship game.
