Atleast with the Hawks, they already have their star players and top guys, so they are looking for more depth guys. So not in bad shape, just a huge hit from last seasons team.

Definitely. Like I said, this team was one year ahead of schedule as far as playoff pushes. Plus its a wake up call for all the partying they did over the summer and forgetting to start the season.

If they don't make it to round 3 this year, I think they really need to consider doing something with that team. I'm not going to go into the 'fire the coach' 'trade the stars' away stuff, but after 4-5 seasons of getting outted in the first two rounds, and not having a strong showing from their star players, it might be time for that change to happen. Niemi is basically the goalie, so that isn't changing, so its the rest.

Eh. I really don't care much for "changing it up." Changing it up doesn't mean they are going to be any better.

I really have no idea what they can even do at this point. Still fun to watch the regular season. I think they'll win a cup eventually, at some point in my life, and I'm fine with it not happening for a while because I just enjoy watching hockey at this point.

Awesome to see the Flyers play like that tonight, got some really good shots on Miller and Boucher had an excellent game. Pronger possibly could be back for Game 4 since he traveled with the team to Buffalo. Hopefully they can keep this up and come home with a 3-1 lead.

Great win for the Pens...thought for a second that the refs were going to steal that game for the Lightning. I don't have a big problem with their second goal, but the first goal was awful after getting a PP when Kovy was back-checked into Roloson right before a shot.

Kunitz and Downie had their hearings this morning. Both should be suspended for sure. Kunitz for sure with that elbow to the head. Probably 1 for Downie and 2 for Kunitz.

I'd also like to see the NHL start to schedule their games a little better. Van/Chi play game 4 tonight, series can easily be over. SJS/LAK in game 3 tonight in what could be a 6-7 game series. Vancouver could easily have 7-9 days off if they win tonight.
