I was pretty surprised Seattle put Le Toux out there for the expansion draft. Any particular reason, or was he just not good enough?

They really didn't know Philly would take him. They were more worried about keeping our starting roster together, and had heard rumors that Philly really wanted James Riley. Unfortunately, you can only protect 11 players, so they decided to just go with the starters.

When Le Toux was picked, basically a lot of people were already talking about having a "vote of confidence" for the GM. Le Toux is very much loved out here for all the stuff he did for the Sounders winning USL-1 Championships and basically being our best player and one of the guys who you could actually talk to.

Of course, now that he's gone there's two camps on him. Those that are positive that he wasn't going to have this type of season in Seattle anyway, as he played out of position his entire time here, and those who won't stop sucking him off.

I remember hearing of Le Toux with the "old" Sounders, then seeing him in their first MLS game. I kind of grew attached with him just because he went straight from the USL to the MLS with an expansion team. There was even talk a few years ago about getting him a cap.

At this point it's more important to secure starters than backups!

One plus to Jovanovic is that he can play up front or on the wing, plus there's all that talk of us signing Remy as well as Carlton Cole. I do hear that N'Gog is on the way out. Thank Raptor Jesus!

I'm suprised Roy hasn't made a move for Zamora to be honest. He is basically the same kind of player as Carlton Cole but actually manages to score a bit more. [or at least he did last season]

I doubt he would be in Martin Jol's plans either.

Stevie G commited his future (I personally never had any doubt), now we just need Nando to do the same and things look a good bit better, even if he goes that's a cool 80 mil to strengthen the squad.

Personally I've always thought he is just a hard-working striker [alot like Zamora] who has below average finishing and tends to create space for other players more than actually scoring goals. Of course his goalscoring will rise with a better quality of player around him but he has never been/never will be a natural finisher imo
