Drake Sword, get a bow and about 40 arrows (in case you miss) then proceed to shoot the Dragon's tail from under the bridge until it pops off. You get the sword then.

I got the Capra Demon to less than 1/4 health then died. I know what to do now though, lol. Should kill him the next time, hopefully.

Also, I ventured down into the Catacombs between Capra Demon deaths, boy is that place full of misery. Those skeletons on the way down through the graveyard? They are kinda tough, yes? Well, inside the Catacombs the skeletons are of the Mario variety...they crumble, then get back up about 5 seconds later.
BTW please tell me if you guys want this stuff in spoiler tags...I think I'm a bit further ahead than you guys, don't want to spoil anything you all want to be a surprise...not story wise of course, just some of the challenges, etc.

Taurus Demon really wasn't that hard, took me 3 tries...
Now that I'm finally slogging through Demon's Souls this statement makes me agitated as shit (as well as makes me laugh). My friend does this crap to me all of the time:

What boss is killing you? If it is Taurus Demon, please, PLEASE keep trying because after you kill him you can get the Drake Sword, that alone makes everything a shit ton easier, but I also promise you the next few bosses are literally 20x easier than Taurus too.

yeah it was the tauras demon. but it wasnt really him that bothered me. I only faced him 3 times and was using the strategy u gave which was working. I was getting annoyed with going through the same group of guys over and over. i can beat them all no problem, but it was just getting old doing it over and over so many times
dont u need a bow and arrow for the drake sword? i dont have one. i did pick up a crossbow from one of the skeletons but cant fire it....i guess i didnt get any arrows from the drop

You can buy a bow and arrows from the vendor in the undead area. From the bonfire, go right, down the ramp, across the ramp to the two Lance skele's, there are stairs hidden by the boxes there you can go down and a vendor is down there. It only takes about 15-20 hits from any kind of arrow, I brought along about 40 arrows just in case. Once you get that, you will be fine.
You won't hit another wall until Capra. In fact, past the Gargoyles, the following two bosses are ridiculously simple with magic, especially the Titanite, since you don't have to fight ANYTHING between the bonfire and him to waste your magic on.

So Bazooka I made it to the blacksmith. No clue where to go or how to get there. I just stumbled upon him after the metal boar creature and didn't run into any big opponents or anything. Any tips on which way to go? Back up to the tower area or down by the blacksmith and this bad guy that shoots thunder?

The boss down the stairs next to the Blacksmith is the Titanite Demon, he's not too hard. I recommend going back up first though, to the Undead Parish.
There are elevators that open a shortcut to Firelink Shrine, as well as a mini Tower Knight (who is easy) with a item behind him that increases the amount healed by your Estus Flask. Past him, up the stairs leads to the Gargoyles. I went there first, then back down to the Titanite Demon.
Although, in all honesty you probably won't have much trouble beating the Titanite if you go ahead and do that...I would wait on going past him into the Darkroot area though, until you down the Gargoyles. IDK, with it being so open, getting to the Butterfly (who is easy) was not hard at the level I was at...which I believe was SL 19-20...so either way. It's pretty much up to you, lol.
I guess what I'm saying in my rambling is that neither path is that hard. The Parish just gives you that item that increases the amount healed, which is nice to have.
