Remember in DS1 every time you kill a boss the lizards respawned if they got away the first time. Sounds like this one is like that too.

Beat Taurus Demon. Kicking myself bc I didn't figure out the strat quicker.

Pull him, run back and climb up the ledge, do the plunge attack, run to the other end to lure him back, then sprint back to ladder again, you might get hit climbing but it won't kill you, plunge again, repeat that one more time and he should be dead. Heal if you get hit, of course. Very easy done this way.

what do u mean by pull him?

he chased me back to the ladder and just as i was about to jump down on him the fucker jumped up and landed on me

Sorry, pull is a term used in WoW for when you start a fight. Just meant run up to the point that triggers him to jump out. You have to leap down on him pretty quickly or he'll do the jump up there. If you have spare firebombs, use those too. Super effective.

I'm past the Armored Boar to the next bonfire. There is a new enemy type after the boar that is a bitch, think Red Eye Knight from DS1. Save at least 2 firebombs if you want to make him easy. I haven't figured their pattern yet.

...and there are tons of them in Undead Parish, which is the way up to the Gargoyles. Going to need to grind some...

I fucking love this game.

Tips:

 

Lure the boar into the fire next to the stairs on the right if you are melee. Much easier to kill that way. Magic, I don't imagine will be much trouble.

After the wooden bridge w/ the three enemies at the end, the right takes you down to a bonfire and the blacksmith is further down. The left takes you to elevators and a shortcut to the Firelink Shrine, but you need to sprint to it as there are multiple knights and a miniature Tower Knight in there that will destroy you.

The left takes you the "correct" way. From my understanding the Gargoyles should be the next boss we attempt. The right takes you to the Titanite Demon, who is apparently pretty easy. Haven't tried either to this point.

I really suck against the guys with the spears. They never attack me and I get ansy and attack them. That's when they stab me a bunch and "BLOODSTAIN".

Yeah, I am the same way. I've found if you hit them three times the third hit does normal damage and if you have enough END you can usually get enough hits in before your stamina is gone to kill them before they recover.

Patience is the hardest thing to learn in this game.

So I guess my balls finally dropped because I decided to give the original another chance and I am finally getting it. Not to change the subject or anything, just thought I'd throw it out there since I was so disappointed in myself before.

The Gargoyles are a fucking joke. I killed them on my first try. Not nearly as hard as people made it out to be prior to release. They are NOTHING like the frustration that was Maneater. All of their attacks are easily avoided by rolling & the second basically just breathes fire, which makes him incredibly easy to kill.

The single best piece of advice so far is to use a bow to get the Drake Sword off the Red Dragon's tail. Beast of a weapon for this early.

Also, the Tower Knight's little brother that is next to the elevators in Undead Parish? Cake. Don't be afraid of him...

If you're talking about Demon's Souls, it should be relatively easy until the 17th if you play online since everyone's worlds are pure white tendency. Now, comeback between the 17th and Halloween to get a good challenge when they make everyone's worlds pure black tendency.

I was, and I am enjoying the white tendency. I need to try and beat it before the 17th when it's going to kick me in the balls and make me cry.

The Capra Demon is a fucking asshole. The other bosses have been difficult but not cheap, he's just cheap. You walk through the fog and as soon as you do there he is with two dogs all swinging away in a tiny little corridor. You don't have any time to get your bearings or anything...the three times I've gone into him I've died in less than five seconds.
