Currently playing Demons Souls and I suck at it. 5 hours and I just got done with the first portion a little bit past Phalanx (sp)

yea im gonna let go of sykrim. fuck man then thr FPS sht comes out. I cant have madden, GOWs, dark souls and BB/COD. then the PSP vita?

If you push through the 2nd mini boss isnt that far from phalanx, not the dragon, he's optional, the Tower Knight is a pretty short walk from the Phalanx

Do you go through the Phalanx's level and across the bridge to get to him or is he the guy with the red glowing face in the towers to the right of the Phalanx lair?

Across the bridge. Once you make it all the way across the bridge your pretty much at the next boss.

Red glowing face? Are you talking about this guy?

That's a red eye knight, he's just a regular enemy. You'll see more of them later in the level. When you see the miniboss, you'll KNOW he's a boss.

yeah but fuck that guy. without internet research you'd never realize you need to be like level 25 to handle him.

i tried to kill that guy for hours, totally befuddled at the fact that it just wasn't possible the first time you see him.

well, not really true. I did make him chase me to a tower and made him fall down to his death. lolz

He fell down the stairs somehow when I was fleeing and fighting him and he died on my first time through with the game as well. The soul bonus at that point was INSANE.

That's really one of the only things I remember about that game. I was not man enough to persevere through it to its conclusion.

I killed the one on the way to Old King Dorian with my like level 1 character.....he got stuck behind a catapult and i just used my long sword to beat his ass :shifty:

yeah man that game took balls of steel to work your way though, it's just like the NES days when games were hard as fuck and unforgiving to the max.

just wait till bomber has to deal with some of the shit ahead. the bosses are mental enough like flamelurker and old hero, but even the levels...like 4-2 with the wights and shades who shoot lazers at at you or those flying things that throw massive spears....i mean fucking hell.

or those skeletons i think in 4-1? where they have the massive swords and just charge/roll at you super fast. fuck the first time I saw that i shit myself and ran outta there.

kinda wish i didn't sell it, i'd play it again, but dark souls will fill that void soon enough.

Indeed. I'm remembering more as I think about it...the level where you have to jump down on the platforms? I think it's after you kill the spider boss. God that was so bloody hard, so easy to die.

Unless you have a ton of arrows or magic, don't bother with fighting the dragon. Though killing him does give you a good soul boost thats nice to have this early in the game. Also there's a shop under the bridge, I won't tell u what else is under there, but just like any other part of the game, don't go running around down there all ball to the wall, or you will die.

Let me remember, next should be a room with some black blob things and what not?

Then the path out in the open with the dragon torching shit?

It's just a matter of timing and speed to get through there.

The 1st time i did that level i didn't realize you could just jump down those platforms, i went the LOOOOOONG way around......that did get me some really good loot/souls tho.

edit: and like 4 extra deaths :dunno:

If I recall, I think I spent more on upgrading my skills than buying loot. I think I found most of the loot that I was using, but I'm a bit fuzzy on remembering that.

I think I bought potions/arrows (I was an archer type build) mostly.

Depends on how your building your guy, for my Royal i started off upgrading stats so i could cast more magic, then upgraded my rapier. For this guy i've just been upgrading stats (since i got demonbrant and it doesn't need to be upgraded :smug

And KG is right, most loot you can find, unless your an archer, then you'll want to make sure u stock up on arrows, or a magician that doesn't have that magic regenerating ring, then you'll wanna buy spice
