Branches ball was deflected by rolle....actually it went right through Rolle's hands. Hernandez dropped a 10 yard pass that could have turned into more. He turned his head upfield right before securing the ball.

Branch had forever to run if he is able to hold on to that ball even though Rolle got a piece of it. That likely puts New England at or near midfield right away

It really is, I can't believe the failure to comprehend this.


The idea that, well, Eli has two SB's now, he should be in because of that, is what brings this full circle.

Why do we have to think this way? Can't we dig deeper, examine the entire picture, and put things into context?

I'm not sure if anybody here is thinking this, but you just know there are writers and pundits and fans and observers and experts and bloggers who are putting him in Canton today, yet wouldn't be had Brady led a TD drive at the end of the game. And that makes no sense to me and never will.

That's a tough catch. Yes he could have caught it, yes he does make great catches all the time and it seems routine... but that was a poorly placed ball.

Again, LOL at that statement. Eli has played nine seasons. Between "4000 yards" and "30 TDs", there are 18 possible outcomes from Eli's career to date. Of those 18 outcomes, only four would satisfy either criteria. He's thrown for 30 once, and 4000 three times. But hey, let's go ahead and extrapolate those numbers for the next five years, since players always maintain their peak level performance five years beyond their career season.
