Bisping would challenge Silva, im confident of that. I also think Bisping is going to take out Hendo when they fight, but some may disagree with that. Bisping has done a great job of improving his game from his TUF days. His move down to MW has been tremendous. And outside of losing to Rashad, and that match he really should've lost to Hammil, hes still unbeaten. He is a force at MW, IMO.

Bisping has developed some nasty knees from the Thai clinch aswell. Wont work on every fighter, but they can be deadly.

I don't see how Bisping is going to be able to pull out a win vs Hendo. Bis is a good fighter, but what is he going to capitalize on against Hendo. I don't really see an aspect of the game where he holds an edge. Maybe Bis is a bit more technical standing, Dan likes to let it wing, so maybe he could squeek out a decision. I doubt it tho. Hendo by KO and maybe a rematch with Silva, prolly too soon?

The only 2 times hes been in trouble in recent memory were on the ground by guys better than him at BJJ. Thales took nose dives and played scared the entire fight. He was going to do absolutely nothing but dive/duck/fall/hug his way to the ground. Silva was absolutely dominant if you cant see that get your head examined. Thales was outclassed and every instance of him coming out of his shell resulted in instant pummeling. The comparisons to Sylvia are plain retarded. He didnt outclass anyone the guy fought scared every damn fight. Far cry from Silva who picks guys apart and has THE best repertoire of strikes in the game. Its absolutely stupid to boo 1 minute into the match which the crowd started doing.
What are you guys going to do if Machida wins a title ? Bitch and moan about that too. Theres a difference between applying pressure, taking chances, and being stupid. Jumping into the guard of a guy who clearly has better BJJ than you is stupid on every level. Fatigue etc dont mean a thing you dont need to exert great amounts of force to triangle or armbar someone. Anderson's limbs are long lanky and ideal for quick subs.
Wasnt that long ago that a guy got booted from the UFC for the same stupid pussy moves. You cant do anything when a guys that defensive without throwing all common sense out the window. Are you guys going to BOOOO and bitch when your team runs the ball in the 4th and demand they throw hail marys all downs just to ensure victory quicker ? Save yourself from watching any old Pernell Whitaker or Floyd Mayweather fights on tv while youre at it.

Bottom line refs should be allowed to deduct point and DQ for stupid behavior like that.It wastes everyones time. Yes it was a boring fight but its squarely on Lietes.
Theres noone at 185 anywhere that hangs with Silva period. So save the UFC matchmaker finger pointing. It is a waste to keep throwing these ham and eggers at him with no legit competition on the horizon. Maybe Wanderlei but thats its. Id much prefer see him move up to 205. He cleaned up 185 and has no competition RJJ had similar match up issues in his prime.
Dont see a GSP fight ending any different with the larger guy winning.

And yeah like his last fights or not Silva is still the best p4p non russian cyborg fighter in the world.

Because I see zero attempt to follow up that "kick", even though Leites looks off balance and wide open to engage. Does Silva even more forward as if he might attack? Yes, that's just one moment in the fight but those kind of moments were there throughout. And maybe Leites down flop if Silva tries to engage, but at least make the attempt to use the opening you create, Silva!

Silva was dominant, KOF. He controlled the fight and pointed his way to a victory. Its an approach not dis-similar from Machida, who takes endless criticism for it.

Tell me what Anderson Silva has done to be considered best p4p over GSP? Just give me a good argument, because there isnt one that exists. Level of opponent is the deciding factor and Anderson doesnt fuck with GSP's resume. The only great fighters Anderson has beat are Hendo, Franklin and Carlos Newton and arguably Jeremy Horn. Other noteables are Alex Stiebling, Alexander Otsuka, and Nate Marquardt.

Aswell as guys like Matt Serra, Frank Trigg, and an undefeated Jon Fitch.

I don't think it's accurate to pass judgement on an entire fight based off of one small instance. Look at Anderson's feet and how out of position he is and the distance.. What type of effective strike is he suppose to throw in that short capture? I think it's silly to harp on that one small moment from such an unorthodox move.

Based off of resume, I would put GSP at #1 for right now. Based off of pure skill and ability Anderson is still 1a and GSP 1b.

Machida has beaten Bonnar, Franklin, Vernon "Tiger" White, and Tito Ortiz, aswell as beating BJ Penn. So the resume is not AS glaring, but still solid. He is a very tactical fighter with amazing precision and a highly unorthodox stance. Machida is constantly throwing punches, just avoiding being hit at pretty much all costs.

Again, im not really discrediting Silva, I still think hes a top 3-5 fighter.. I just think Georges is better. Silva's performance against less than stellar fighters has been dissapointing. In Machida's defense, he had a very exciting finish of a really tough fighter in Thiago Silva at UFC 94. Im honestly on the fence as to which fighter I like better, Anderson or Lyoto.. but im leaning towards Lyoto. I didnt appreciate Anderson's dancing and shit this fight cause he wasnt pushing to finish IMO. All that extra shit is fun when it comes with a KO.

Judges Cecil Peoples and Jeff Mullen favored Bisping, 29-28, while British judge Chris Watts had Hamill, 30-27. I, too, scored it 30-27 for Hamill, though I can at least make a case for Bisping winning the second round.

So was this last PPV indicative of the sport? I'm trying to get into this but I was kind of let down by the last PPV. I've seen other fights that were really great to watch, but I did enjoy the Cane-Cantwell and thought that Kongo looked impressive.

Again, I'm a newbie so go easy on me.

It depends, you can get an awesome show (UFC 91 or 92), a pretty good show (the latest Strikeforce show) or a shitty show. UFC 97 wasn't horrible but that main event was just plain bad. Don't know what's up with Silva as of late.

Usually UFC PPVs are good (although there are some you can skip on PPV, such as UFC 93). They have some interesting/great match-ups coming up in the next few months...

UFC 98 in May is Evans/Machida (205 championship & both men are undefeated), Hughes/Serra (grudge fight), Okami vs. Dan Miller should be good, Sherk vs. Edgar could be good.

UFC 99 in June is Wanderlei Silva/Franklin, Velasquez vs. Herring (may be a boring fight since Herring is tough to finish), Swick vs. Ben Saunders, Marcus Davis vs. Dan Hardy and Spencer Fisher vs. Caol Uno should all be good.

The TUF Finale in June for Spike has two fights booked: Clay Guida vs. Diego Sanchez (fuck yeah!), and Nate Diaz vs. Joe Stevenson (Joe Daddy may be gone if he loses)

then those lead to 100 (must see show), 101 (Penn/Florian, Griffin/Thiago Silva) and 102 (Couture/Big Nog).

Strikeforce has a show on Showtime on June 6th with a main event of Robbie Lawler (awesome striker) vs. Jake Shields (awesome jiu-jitsu) which should be good.
