Chiefs, Bucs and Eagles all accused of cheap or dirty play yesterday.

Didn't see the two, but the Bucs shtick of attacking the ball on a game ending kneel down play was pretty bush. I know Schiano is just in his 2nd game and all, but cut that shit out.

I thought the Bucs play was clean, and the league said today that the Bucs did nothing wrong. In a one score game, be on your toes, they did nothing illegal.

I've always wondered why more teams don't try what the Bucs did.

the redskins fans should be more upset about the bad call by the refs. imo, this should have been a flag on both players. The ref is standing right there and sees finnigan push his head back. But they decide to call it one way instead of offsetting flags.

Joe Flacco was right when he talked about the integrity of the game. These officials seem to be having way to much influence on the final score of the games.

That could have gone either way, and both players should have been flagged. It was a terrible thing for that game to essentially hinge on that call (obviously the FG still has to be made.)

2nd player ALWAYS get caught and gets the Penalty.......i never blame refs for calls.
i dont also look for refs to win/lose the game for a team.
its all on the players, then coaching (staff)

that was ALL on Josh Morgan in those circumstances. that play cost their chances of a tie FG OR going for it on 4th down.
personally; i believe Shanny would have gone for it with some kind of play where RGIII it would have been called UNSIM play online!!! and got a ton of yardage out of it too :thumbsup:

Everyone is giving Josh Morgan shit for the penalty, and rightfully so, but Shanahan attempting a 62-yard FG with Cundiff is indefensible. Cundiff's career long is 56, and that kick was nowhere fucking close, you gotta take your chances on 4th and 13 with RGIII and your offense there. Dickless, safe move that enabled Shanny to hide behind the dumb mistake of one of his players.

There was still 1:16 left, no Hail Mary needed, just get a first down so you can move further into FG range. I'd rather let my franchise QB win or lose the game for me on 4th and 16 than ask my kicker to attempt a kick that he has no chance of making.

By hail marry I meant that it was 4th and 16, so the Rams would not have given up anything deep. RG3 would have had to throw underneath and hope his WR would make a play. The probability of that happening is pretty slim.

Love that the personal foul comes not at that illegal hit, but the shove Bruce Carter gave Russell Wilson before he stepped out of bounds.

To say nothing of the classless (dare I say "thuggish") reaction from Tate after the play.

I'm not even mad they didn't throw a flag on that block although it was clear as Tate LAUNCHED himself and led with his helmet. I don't know the rules about blocks like that though so maybe it was legal?

What's funny about this play is that Bruce Carter got a 15 yarder unnecessary roughness penalty for lightly 2 hand touching Wilson out of bounds. You can see the beginning of it at the end of the clip. Awful.

Mike Pereira said it was an illegal block and should of been penalized. He also said he wouldnt be surprised if Tate is fined.

The hit on Lee is an illegal blindside block. Lee is considered defenseless, which means you can't lower your head & hit in head/neck area. On a blindside block the player is defenseless and you can't lead with your helmet no matter where you hit him.

Tate hit him in the chest. I understand that you aren't supposed to lead with your helmet on a block but he didn't hit him in the neck/head area, he hit him square in the chest.

Even if illegal, that was a great hit by Tate, IMO. Lee needs to keep his head on a swivel.

I'm with you on the silly penalty called on Carter, though. That was ridiculous.

Either way, the play doesn't matter. The Cowboys got spanked and this play wasn't going to change that so bitching about it is just sour grapes.

I'm willing to admit I'm more bitter about the reaction than the hit itself. Shit happens, but that was a punk move. Tate would never do such a thing if Lee saw him coming.

i thought Tates shot was cheap and should be fined. If the defense can be penalized and fined for hitting a defenseless WR, the the offense should be held to the same standard.

regarding the refs, D Qwell Jackson was called for a 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalty. The announcers said they were looking at the replays to find it and they couldnt. Jackson said today that he hit and knocked Jeremy Gresham down on a chuck off the LOS...well within the rules. He went on to say that the team is having a hard time figuring out how to play under these refs rules.
