True, i see that Mike Bellotti took the AD job, but what was the reasoning? Did he just tire of coaching? I know that nobody will likely ever live up to his legend at that school.
 
People are acting like he shot that guy. He punched the dude who probably deserved it for being an asshole. You don't go up to a guy and hit him on the shoulder and say something, then smile to your coach like you're hot shit.

Look, I never said I think he should still be on the team, I think he should be kicked off and I'm guessing the #9 jerseys will get pulled from stores. I lost respect for Blount and it looks like I need a new favorite player.

I'm not sayin what he did was right, but I can definitely see where he's coming from. This is football, a sport thats super physical with lots of shit going on that we don't even see/hear. The guy was asking for something, either a shove or punch, and his dumb ass left his guard down.

To kick him off the team is ridiculous. You suspend him and make him earn his keep. This guy will put it together knowing that one more incident and he's gone and his NFL dreams completely crushed.

Kelly will be fine at coach, the Ducks just weren't sharp tonight and have a new offensive line. I don't care who you had at coach, the Ducks just couldn't win this game no matter how hard BSU tried to give it to them.
 
I honestly don't think it's right that you can say whatever you want to someone, and not get punched in the face for it.

I honestly believe that if you have the balls to say something offensive to someone, than you should be allowed to punch them in the face.

The human mouth can be a powerful weapon. Everyone has run into that bitch that talks shit and you want to punch them in the face, but don't do it because you know cops would get involved. Well if your man enough to talk shit, you should be man enough to get punched in the face.

Blount talked shit before the game and couldn't back it up. He was embarrassed at losing to a bunch of white boys for the second year in a row. The guy is a total pussy. He sucker punches the Boise player then backs away from the rest of the Boise guys...then when he's out of arm's reach he pumps his chest and is probably screaming "This is a man right here!". Then he tries to Ron Artest the crowd?! After he already punched out one of the home team's players?!

The guy should be kicked off the team. A 'one game ban' will do nothing. I can't imagine if the situation were reversed...if Boise State went to Grambling and got beat, and after the game a Boise player punched out a Grambling player then went after the fans. The Boise player would by lynched, and Jesse Jackson would be involved.
 
For the punch he probably deserves about a 2 game suspension, but the fact that he acted like a lunatic who attempted to enter the stands he probably deserves about a 5 game to half season suspension. It appears he has a history of disciplinary problems as it relates to anger management problems, so at the minimum I wouldn't let him back on the field until he goes through some sessions with some counselors. However, I do not believe his actions were worth taking an entire year of his eligibility. He's young and stupid....he'll learn from this.

This imo would be the best solution . Banning him for a few games will only do so much , especially if his anger problems are as bad as some people say they are . They need to deal with him internally first

It will probably end up being a mix of the two
