Yeah, if any one group of individuals could walk away from last night's game as "Heroes", its definitely the Oregon players.

Ok Blount went crazy, that was inexecusable behavior, no need for all that.

But now on the flip side, I wonder if coach Peterson does anything to Hout if he was in fact taunting Blount.

It looks like Blount is starting to walk away, with Peterson standing right next to Hout when Tout taps him on the shoulder and then says something to Blount, and which Peterson immediately is trying to say something to Hout like what are you doing, then gets sucker punched.

Then after another camera panned away to Blount going bonkers, the other camera showed Peterson chewing out Hout.

No execuses for Blount, that is unexecusable behavior.

But I'm just curious as to what Hout said and if he was in fact displaying bad sportsmanship taunting after the game. Peterson's reaction right when he says something and after, looks like he was in fact taunting him perhaps.

Just really curious as to what went down.

Verbal taunting happens all the time. A sucker-punch in the face in return, then having a meltdown because you had a shitty game? Not the best reaction.

They showed his behavior was inexcusable by pushing him away and keeping him from people, even while he was going after his own team? That's just protecting your own player. You don't block him so the other team doesn't get hurt, you block him so he doesn't go after more people and get in more trouble than he will already get into.

Blount, however, was quoted in Sports Illustrated as saying, "We owe that team an ass-whuppin."

I think the trash talk started from Blount, continued to the field by a Boise State player who probably commented on that, and ended with a sucker-punch. I wouldn't place 100% blame on that Boise State player.

I honestly don't think it's right that you can say whatever you want to someone, and not get punched in the face for it.

I honestly believe that if you have the balls to say something offensive to someone, than you should be allowed to punch them in the face.

The human mouth can be a powerful weapon. Everyone has run into that bitch that talks shit and you want to punch them in the face, but don't do it because you know cops would get involved. Well if your man enough to talk shit, you should be man enough to get punched in the face.

I agree LaGarrette Blount's trash talking about how they owed Boise State a butt whipping and all that nonsense HE SHOULD HAVE VOLUNTEERED to get punched in the face after he talked shit, couldnt back it up, and then performed like a middle school running back out there.

I wanted to just comment how it didn;t escalte and trickle down from either team. Both teams did a good job of not letting that get out of hand. I saw visions of Hawaii-Cincy, and Hawaii-Houston, Miami-Florida Internatiional which could have easily happaned.

So I was commenting on giving props to both teams, for not letting a player saying someething to another, and another going awol, to make this thing get really out of hand.

Coach Peterson was saying something right after he said whatever to Blunt before he got cold cocked, and then after the camera panned to Peterson chewing out Houk. It could have been nothing, but it seemed like it may have been something, Peterson obviously heard.
