yea, so far. i've only called the 5-star guys. after i get them, that's it. i won't be able to recruit the other guys. im a little worried how this will end up

I think that's fully worth the risk man. You've got young kids on your team as it stands, those five-stars will make an immediate impact for your team and a big one at that.

the only reason im doing it that way is because if i don't call the 5-stars, their interest in indiana will fall like 3 places. i have to keep them at #1.

i know. chester had 4 picks, two fumbles, and they shut belcher down. he's leading the ncaa with 16 drops. already.

Turnovers, Missed Opportunities Kill Hoosiers

Boise, Idaho - Indiana's 6 tunovers and four field goals (three inside the 10 yard line) were the only reasons that the Hoosiers lost their road game against the Boise State Broncos.

"This was pitiful," said head coach Anthony Thompson. "We were horrible. We turned the ball over, gave up huge plays on defense, and couldn't score touchdowns. Our offense was completely out of sync. I'm surprised that we were able to keep the game so close."

From the opening coin toss, you could tell that Indiana was looking ahead to its match-up with the Ohio State Buckeyes next week. They weren't focused at all. Belcher, who is 2nd in the Heisman race, dropped 7 passes during the game. "I just wasn't paying attention, I guess," said Belcher after the game. "I have no excuse for my dropped passes. I sucked."

Indiana gave up a 59 yard touchdown pass early in the first quarter, and they failed to score. They went into the second quarter down 7-0, and it got worse from there. Another quick touchdown by Boise State put the Hoosiers in uncharted territory; they were down by two scores early in the game. "I honestly didn't know what to do," said quarterback Jammone Chester. "I haven't played this badly in a while, and I wasn't sure how to put points on the board." Indiana would finally score, as Jammone Chester would call a QB Sneak and ran 49 yards for the touchdown. Indiana would hold Boise State and kick a field goal as time expired to go into the half down 14-13.

The 3rd quarter was the only good point in today's game. Indiana got into the red zone twice (they even managed to get the ball to the 2 yard line) but failed to score a touchdown both times. This was the key moment in the game; instead of putting two touchdowns up on the board, they only scored six. "I knew it was going to bite us in the ass," said Mitch Ewald, who was the man that kicked the field goals. "If we fail to score touchdowns, we fail to win the game."

From there, it was all Boise State. They started playing stellar defense, as they forced Chester into making 5 turnovers (four interceptions and a fumble) and capitalizing by scoring the next 13 points to take a 27-19 lead. Indiana would get the ball for one final drive with just over a minute to go in the game. They were on their own 8 yard line. "I could see a spark in [Jammone Chester's] eyes," said running back Deleon Eskridge, who ran for over 100 yards on the game. "He was ready to score."

He drove the ball down the field, and he connected with Duwyce Wilson in the end zone to make he score 27-25. With the two point conversion, the game was tied at 27. Overtime.

Boise State got the ball in the first overtime, and they failed to score. They were held to a 3 and out, and the field goal attempt was blocked by Duwyce Wilson (how many big plays in one game can a kid make)? "I immediately put on my helmet, and I was ready to kick," said Ewald. "I didn't think that [Coach Anthony Thompson] would run any plays before giving me a chance to score."

Thompson decided to run a QB sneak to catch the defense off-guard. It didn't work. Chester fumbled, ending the first overtime with the score still tied at 27. Indiana got the ball back in the 2nd overtime, and was held to a 3 and out. But instead of kicking the easy field goal, the Hoosiers went for it on 4th down. Since they were only one yard away, running the ball up the middle should have gotten the first down. Only it didn't get the first down. Eskridge was stuffed behind the line, ending the overtime.

Boise got the ball back and immediately started driving down the field. A 10 yard pass, then a 4 yard run, then a 4 yard pass, then a 6 yard pass. Finally, Boise State ended the game with a play action pass that caught the Hoosiers defense off-guard. One of Boise's receivers was left wide open in the end zone, and he caught the ball to end the game. "We deserved to lose," said coach Anthony Thompson.

Indiana opens up Big 10 play next week against the powerful Ohio State Buckeyes.

I actually don't control just one player. Usually I will control a DE or DT. If I have a LB, CB or safety coming on a blitz, then I will control them. So I get a lot of sacks that way, but not so many tackles.

Tough loss to Boise State. I am confident the Hoosiers can bounce back.

ah. i get like 1 or 2 sacks a game, and if i get 1 it's because i blitzed with alexander .

Hagerup, Davis-Walker Awarded for Academic Achievements

Bloomington, IN - Anthony Thompson announced yesterday that he was creating a new section of the Indiana Hall of Fame; he made a section devoted entirely to athletes who perform well academically as well as athletically. The first two members are Chris Hagerup and Zach Davis-Walker.

Hagerup, Indiana's starting punter, has a 3.7 G.P.A (grade point average) average for his classes. His major, statistics, is considered one of the hardest at Indiana to complete. "It's a really challenging course," said Hagerup. "Luckily, punters don't do much during practice, so I have a lot of time to study." He should have a 4.0, but did poorly on a few tests, so he dropped a few points.

Davis-Walker, Indiana's backup running back, maintained a 3.9 G.P.A in his sports management classes. "It's the easiest group of classese I've ever taken," said Davis-Walker. "I'm going to become a GM in the NFL some day, and this class will definitely help me on my way. Accounting, management, and other classes like that come easily to me, so I don't have to do anything to get A's."
