Interesting.... what would effect would multiple weigh ins leading up to the fight have ? ((ex you have to be within 10 lbs of weight 10 days out.))Would that keep guys like AJ within the realm of the necessary weight ?
I think it would help some because if you go extreme like AJ and the like and you cant get all that fluid back in quickly and have to regulate it for the next day weigh in you will be shot come fight time, but the downside is guys will push the limit and the fighters risk serious injury which wouldnt help the sport
you dont get enough fluid back in the body you have less protection for your brain when getting struck, I dont know the full science behind it and dont want to sound like I do, but basically you have less protection and guys will suffer more serious KOs and possible increased permanant damage from what I have read in the past
or like you're saying might help, but guys will do multiple yoyo'ing with there weight for multiple weigh ins and I'm sure thats dangerous also, wrestling has dealt with this issue for years and guys are still screwing it up
