UFC 98: Machida vs Evans

Henderson is actually 38.. all the more reason that hes past his prime.

Palhares has never fought anyone the size of Henderson or with that kind of KO power. Henderson should've finished the guy.

Whos to say its more to do with Anderson Silva? He couldnt do that to a much lesser fighter in Leites or in Patrick Cote. Henderson looked flat out terrible that fight.

You dont beat Forrest and Chuck with "average" striking. He's got good power in his legs as well. He doesnt have the heavy hands Silva or Rampage do but hes alot quicker than both of them and his footwork for as much as that article wants to knock him is what has kept him unpredictable and ridiculously hard to get a bead on. Unless Im Machida or Rampage Im avoiding an exchange with Evans.
Top 5 is pushing it. I think Machida could barely squeeze in the top 5 right now. Evans 5-10 before this fight was not far fetched. You would have to bypass some really good lighter weight guys to put him in there. Bottom line is overrated or not being undefeated and champ at 205 has more clout than any other weight class. The competition at 205 is just insane.

You suck at analyzing. The chances of having an exact list are slim.. having 7 of the same fighters is similar enough. You just hate when people dont agree with you. Perhaps you should fetch your new babies bottle.

10. Shogun - can't forget about the Pride days, keep in mind the long layoff + injuries when first entering the UFC. He's done too much in Pride and is still far too talented to wipe this guy off of the top 10 list.

This is based off of resume + overall skill and ability. When you take those two things into consideration how is Machida not #1 with wins over Bonnar, Franklin, Tiger White, Soko, Tito, Thiago, and now Evans. Also, take into consideration that he has dominated everyone that he has faced in the UFC thus far and has yet to be rocked by anyone. He takes the least amount of damage out of anyone that there is in the sport. He's also the only guy where you really cannot even sit down and say "that guy can beat him", there's not a fighter in the sport that matches up favorably to Machida and the same cannot be said for anyone else. For that, he's #1.

Silva at #2 because he's undefeated in the UFC and also one of the most versatile and talented guys that there is. When it comes to savy and skill the only other fighter that even compares would be Machida. His resume is also impressive and he has cleaned out his division.

I have GSP at #3 for now, but I can quickly see him climbing to #2 and bumping Silva down one slot. He has had a couple setbacks, but right now he's poised to clean out his division as well and is just as skilled, in his own right, as Anderson Silva is.

Fedor, what more can I say about Fedor, anyone that posted at MM knows how I feel about him. I have a ton of respect for the guy, his resume is impressive, but I just don't see him as one of the most talented fighters that there is. He's a freak of nature, but he's not as well rounded or technical, at least standing, as the guys mentioned above.

The rest of the list is debatable, but that's how I have em right now.

They would never fight each other and the match itself could go either way in terms of excitement. It could either be one of the most technical matches ever, or a complete snore/standoff between the two with neither engaging.
 
Fedor is the p4p best fighter in the sport

GSP is number 2, he is the best fighter in the UFC, lol @ bringing up the Serra KO, he raped him after that, when you have small gloves shit like that happens

Him and Fedor have revenged all there loses, only guy who can step up now is Machida and he hasnt beaten the level of comp Fedor and GSP has

If he beats Rampage and another top LHW he could probably jump GSP

In for the record, BJ at LW easily is top 5 p4p, please dont him moving up in weight effect that, he has been almost untouchable at 155 in his career, only a 5 round loss to Pulver in his 3 fight ever

His only problem is not sticking at 155 for a lot of fights in a row

Funny how you dont say he is one of the most talented, he is a Combat Sambo champ, he has outstruck K1 strikers, subbed wrestlers and pounded out Nog when Nog had the best HW guard in the history of MMA

He has been rocked by 1 punch, that was Fujita than choked him out, got slammed as bad as you can against Randleman and than subbed him minutes later, hasnt lost a round in like 8 years and took out the 2 best HWs the UFC had for years in under 4 minutes

The guy is skilled, his cardio is great for a HW also, his GnP technique is great, full body torque and explosion

This is what i was thinking immediately after the Machida/Evans fight, if Silva were to win against Griffin and Dana wanted to set up another "superfight" he could go Silva vs Machida. I for sure wouldnt pay for it though, it might go 5 rounds with a total of 30 strike attempts.
