I can't get mad at EA for being a good company $ wise. I've been saying that for years.

Obviously most of the issue comes from EA sports, and honeslty I'm surprised there's so much hate on EA as a whole. I typically don't play a lot of adventure/fps/rpg games, I'm a Sport gamer and that's pretty much it.

They've really shit the bed over the years with their sport titles obviously. Madden needs no more discussion. It's sad, but around this time EVERY YEAR I end up putting in 2K5 and running through a fantasy season and continue to have jaw dropping moments at how realistic that game is sometimes. they got so much stuff right it should be criminal how Madden compares today. Madden still doesn't have momentum like 2K5 did.

Their basketball franchise was an utter, utter joke. another area 2K completely COMPLETELY Shit on them in.

I've heard good and bad things about tiger, and while I've enjoyed tiger games I could never buy them yearly like I do the Football games.

I'm a football nerd admittedly, and I just wish that if the NFL is going to pick and choose who is going to use their product, that they'd pick the people who are best going to represent the sport. I've been saying since 07 that EA isn't to blame for the exclusive license but the NFL is.

I don't think EA is an evil company, I do think they're not being fair to loyal sport gamer customers who've supported their franchises for decades. I wish EA would take more responsibility for their sport games and I also wish the NFL would allow other people to use their image.

Seriously, I hate that I'm playing 2K5 and the players feet actually stick to the ground but we're still using ice skates in Madden and NCAA.

The only EA game I have is Battlefield 3. I didnt even know EA was hated as a whole I only thought it was the makers of Live and Madden that got all the flack.

Correct they cant.
You can "get over" a shitty game about spartans , or military shooter that just isnt good anymore because hey theres a dozen more similar options.
But you cant go anywhere else for a Football game. I have one option. Therefore that label is responsible for killing one of my favorite hobbies.
EA could introduce me to Kim Kardasians long lost identical twin sister who is well adjusted , humble, loves commitment and giving me head.....first thing Id do is punch her in the face and every subsequent august to show EA how Ive felt the last decade.

That's fine, and it's certainly a reason why people hate EA...I'm just saying I don't hate them for that and the article is pretty good because it realizes that EA is more than just Madden and NCAA (and it makes some pretty good points besides that).

And instead of AAA title efforts we get the pond scum. Ive said this 1000x The EA sports guys have been equivalent of the 90s Bengals and 80s bucs. They are a bunch of talentless hacks compared to other big series devs and are a nasty combination of undertalented and creatively limited by management.

You can tell me all day about macbooks,itunes,ipads etc....but if the iPhone was useless piece of shit noone would give two craps about Apple. Thats how I feel about EA.

In response to Peter Moore: Other companies are out to make a profit but few are hated as much as EA. I really don't like how they take away features and try to spin them as new...I'd rather see them say "we brought back X." Madde 13 is taking away editing roster in Franchise but in 2yrs they will say its a new feature.

I saw that yesterday, and there is at least one glaring inaccuracy with it. EA doesn't own Ubisoft, and I wouldn't consider Mass Effect 3 nor Battlefield 3 shit (can't comment on the others).

The BF premium is a hilarious joke and the ability to buy all the upgrades is god awfully stupid as well but anything for a buck it seems. While the game is really good EA's hands are there and its so painfully obvious. Maybe its just us PC guys that really notice the screw job on it I dunno.

I can't say whether EA stifled BGE2, but Ansel's team did begin Rayman Origins while EA still had a stake in the company.

I think its the love for football. The NFL forced the exclusive licence people do realize that the only option madden had besides buying the exclusive license let was to let 2k buy it? If any of you were EA youd have done the same thing. 2k absolutely killed baseball on the xbox and one of the best sports games of all time doing the exact same thing that ea did with the nfl and just bought an exclusive license that the sport made 1 company buy, and we hear nothing bad against them. Had madden possibly been a closer port to their ps2 days and not a wtf version when it was released on next gen perhaps we wouldnt be hearing all these 2k fanboys talking about a game that was clearly inferior to madden at its time (05). Even the 2k basketball team is guilty of doing the same things madden is guilty of (taking features out, gimmick features) yet they are the "good guys" (although I do love a ton of 2k games). All in all I love the majority of their games and the plain fact is that if they put out a game you can be pretty sure its at worst a decent quality game. Of course I wish there could be competition but thats not the companies decision.

i think mentioned ME3 as shit is fair. ME1 and ME2 were awesome games. but then EA gets ahold of it and it turned into another cookie cutter game that was basically more like an expansion of ME2. they did the same thing with DA2 and totally fucked up what was a fantastic start to a series. I didnt finish either one of those games

i wont say ME3 was shit, but it certainly turned down the shit path with ME3

I have MLB2K for the PC (not XBOX) and the only real complaint I have is it keeps redoing my lineups when simming a bunch of games in a row. I don't have The Show, so I don't have anything to compare it too.

Fuck EA/Tib/NFL for what they have done to this gen of NFL Licensed Video games. That, all by itself is enough to hate EA.

BF3 is an odd game for me mainly because I like it but there are things about it I really hate and thats the problem. The DLC is honestly a crock of shit but I'm used to getting full out expansions instead of paying for DLC that isn't out yet. Their first real "dlc" came in bf2 in two small little packs. People were whining about them back then so it all screams money grab. Close quarters is really them trying to cash in on a CoD like atomsphere and I won't buy it because there's simply better games out there for close quarter stuff. Dice simply has never really done that aspect of FPS's all that well in any of the battlefields imo.

I'm still not sold on it for some reason. I was really hyped for the game and still play it from time to time but the little things really piss me off to the point that I give up trying to play and just don't enjoy it. I could make my own Rage Quit video on just trying to get into a fuckin server which in itself is rediculous.

Some people would say crew mode was a significant feature.....

And the Show is AMAZING so If you have never played the show or mvp baseball (hell even mlb2k7 was pretty good before they decided to change everything) I can see how you feel as though 2k baseball is ok. And im not a Super fanboy. Yes i enjoyed madden more than 2k and always have. I also agree 2k football did some things perfectly, mainly presentation and wr db interactions as well as a nice pocket untill recently. I agree with this statement and perhaps i misspoke. In my opinion I enjoyed madden better however to say madden 2005 was inferior to 2k5 would also be incorrect. to say the 360 versions of madden were inferior is a valid argument, or at least until more recently. 2ks presentation was amazing and i will admit madden just cant seem to capture it.

It's not blind hate. It took a lot of effort on EA/Tibs part to EARN that hate for shitting the bed and putting out a suckfest football game on this gen. EA/Tib FUCKED us football fans.
