USC QB Mark Sanchez has become "the hot target" at Redskins Park, sources tell the Washington Post.

Sanchez would need some Pancake Blocks Mock-style bad luck to fall to No. 13, but owner Dan Snyder may be willing to package picks for a move up. Sanchez's accuracy and athleticism would be an ideal fit in Jim Zorn's West Coast offense, and Snyder seems set on replacing Jason Campbell

How many QBs turn out to be busts? PLEASE dont waste a pick on Sanchez, he isnt even that good. Hell I could make all those throws at the Combine with no-one rushing me, not worrying about my blind side, a clear view of the WR, no defender on him. Take the best Tackle out there.

        Sanchez > Campbell

I still think they should give Colt Brennan a chance though.

I think Sanchez will be a bust. I think they'll wind up taking Rey Maualuga to take over for Marcus Washington on the strong side outside linebacker spot. They released Marcus Washington earlier this off-season.

I smell smoke screen. I think Vinny is doing this so he can trade down. If we take a QB or any thing thats not filling a whole, Ill be piss on draft day.

if they take a QB im right with you. Id like to see Brennan get a chance, let him be the QB of the future, build your OLINE with a stud Tackle at worst take the top DE then maybe a LB. whoever the QB is he cant throw laying on his back and if there is no holes on the line Portis is Fd.

Id even be happy trading the first rounder for Boldin but thats a reach too.

The guy only has 16 games under his belt, they said the same about John david booty. I think these guys are a project of the system. The goof from OK had monster stats because they ran the score up.

Again how many QBs are busts. The Falcons had the tools there people forget that. A top RB a very good WR, good D. Flaco now he just managed the game and let the D do the work.

                Just my opinion

Texas DE Brian Orakpo is reportedly a "frontrunner" to be the Redskins' pick at No. 13 if Washington can't move up to select Mark Sanchez.

The Skins may no longer be counting on a top tackle to fall to them. Orakpo would likely play left end in DC. The Post thinks getting Sanchez is owner Dan Snyder's priority and expects Washington to try to move into the top 3-4.

I would love to have Orakpo on the line, he is who I wanted out of all the players in the draft, I dont think he will be there though. Just say no to Sanchez Snyder, give Campbell one more year.

I agree one more year or start working in Colt, they said Flutie was too small. Build the team with what you need to win, Sanchez isnt going to make us any better then 8-8 this year or 9-7 next season.

Redskins RG Randy Thomas revealed that the neck injury he played through last season was career threatening.

Offseason surgery will allow Thomas to play in 2009, but doctors informed him during last season that he risked paralysis by continuing to play. Thomas started all 16 games. He was medically cleared from surgery last month.

Right, I think we can win with Campbell. Give the man a better O-line. I think either Kelly or Thomas will take over the #2 spot when the season starts.

Sources close to Tennessee DE Robert Ayers say they would be "stunned" if the Redskins took him at No. 13, according to the Washington Post.

Ayers isn't the big name Dan Snyder typically targets. Snyder and GM Vinny Cerrato are known to be high on Texas DE Brian Orakpo, who's considered their fallback option if they can't move up for USC QB Mark Sanchez. The Skins also don't appear to be very high on Florida State DE Everette Brown.

Ball State QB Nate Davis scored an 11 on the Wonderlic Test.

Davis has a learning disability, but his intelligence remains a big concern. "(Davis) has a (Josh) Freeman arm and he was more accurate than Freeman," said one Redskins scout. "I mean, he can throw it. But it will be a different learning process with him that some offensive coordinator is going to have to adjust to if he's going to play for you."

According to SI's Peter King, Redskins owner Daniel Snyder is "beyond smitten" with USC QB Mark Sanchez and "will likely pursue him this week."

King believes Snyder will have to give up a 2009 and 2010 first or a collection of picks this year in order to move in front of Seattle at No. 4. Chiefs GM Scott Pioli, the NFL leader in draft-day trades over the past eight years, is dying to move out of the No. 3 spot. Sanchez now looks like a near lock to go Top-5.

All I can say is AHHHHHH SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But if its coming from Peter King is probably bullshit. Im hoping Snyder is just blowing smoke up everyones ass here. If these teams are insisting on moving down why should we give more to move up?
