tonights episode was AMAZING... it's been a while since Dexter had me feeling that kind of suspense, but i was genuinely nervous when

 

shrink wrap guy was running down the alleyway. one of the plot points thats been teased at is that Debra finds out about Dexter's "extracurricular activities" and i thought that might have been tonight. the Lumen storyline can now go into full bloom now that Dexter realises he has to help her. this is going to go way better than the "you dont really wanna fuck with me, because i will FUCK YOU BACK" guy. this girl genuinely needs help and her captors are exactly the kind of people Harry taught Dexter the code in order to deal with.

Yeah, I agree. Amazing episode. I gotta admit I thought the Angel thing was going a different way.

True, but who cares, it was fucking hilarious to see him act all that out. I think that the point is nobody is going to question a case if the only other lab guy, Dexter, corroborates his theory.

this entire season has been shit for dexter standards. this last episode was full of unreal BS. the entire warehouse scene was total BS from the moment he found out the crime scene was at their location.

the cops get a call about shots fired and send a couple of cops that dont enter the area because they are waiting for homicide detectives? get real. homicide only shows up when there is a actual death, not to check a call for shots fired....thats what the street cops are for....oh wait, they did show up and didnt do anything or even check for any crimes......

but they still called for dexter, the blood expert, to come to a crime scene where there was no crime. Except the crime of the writers who made u think the super smart detectives who were unrealistically called to investigate a non crime were also not perceptive enough to see or hear dexter chasing a guy running in plastic wrap....plastic wrap that happens to make a shit load of noise when swish swashing as a man is running. of course the sound of being tackled 20 feet away or dragged by the neck wasnt enough to draw the attention of super detective, i guess its to much to expect the mad might have made 1 single yelp while being murdered....they probably wouldnt have heard that anyways.

good solid suspenseful BS yeah? at least we have no talent pan face julia styles and her nastiness to add to the show. they just need her and deb in the same room to destroy the space time continuum

Im surprised Maynard, I absolutely fucking love the direction of this season. Seeing dexter have some sort of person to relate with is good that isn't batshit crazy like the chick from Season 2, Lyla?

Also Miguel Prado from season 3....I hope this one works out.

finally got around to this past sundays show. first time all year i really loved the show. at first i was thinking it woud be another bad episode. But then then that pick up got nailed and it changed the entire show...and the season.

That's pretty much how I am with Boardwalk Empire. Not because the show is bad, but because Sunday is so jam packed with good TV that I never get around to it.

I still find Dexter more enjoyable/exciting than Boardwalk, and thus place it higher in my DVR watching pecking order.

Lumen is dumb and obnoxious. I hope she isn't sticking around as Dexter's new love interest.

Also, one weird thing about tonight: Cole comes literally busting through the connecting door to attack Lumen, then Dex kills him in the room. Are they just going to ignore the busted door? Wouldn't the fact that the door separating Cole and his rooms being shattered be something that would cause at least a little suspicion?

I noticed that as well. Dexter rented the room, I am sure some form of communication between him and the hotel had to go down for him to get the room. Logically, I see a huge hole right here.

The ending to this week's episode was fucking huge.

 

Not only is he officially united with Lumen by sharing his secret, killing in front of her, etc. There is now official footage of Dexter getting rid of fucking bags in which he stuffed Cole into...on camera. That fucking PI, the only problem with that part of the plot is I feel as if it's forced. Quinn really gives that much of a fuck about all this shit? Feels like they want to recreate Doakes so bad that it's literally forced. I love the plot this season but am not easy going with the Doakes/Quinn angle at all.
