I'm sure next season will revolve around Dexter trying to convince Deb that what he is doing is okay and better for the world all the while a copycat killer (intern guy) rampages through the city. The entire season is going to revolve around the previous seasons, you can see it written all over the wall.

If it doesn't, the continuity problems that already exist will reach an all time high.

Hey, Deb, I'm a serial killer. You remember that psycho guy who you dated in season one? Yeah, the Ice Truck Killer. Well, he's my brother and only went after you to get to me, so I killed his dumbass.
Oh, yeah and Doakes was innocent, I used to him to cover my own ass and I really was the Bay Harbor Butcher.
The Skinner? Yeah, I don't even remember that guy, but Miguel Prado? I killed his dumbass after I tried to help him out and he took it much too far.
Remember when Rita got killed by the Trinity killer? It was my fault, but don't worry, I killed him too.
Also, you know when you thought that there was a vigilante going around taking out those crazy murder/rapists? Me too. You almost caught me, but you were stupid enough to let me and my apprentice who hasn't been spoken of since she finally realized that killing the 5 men who raped her was closure enough.

Ok, Dexter has indeed fallen off, but not as much as other shows have. Weeds fell faster than Enron.

Even the cliff hanger of Deb finding out about Dexter, I am going into next season assuming that was all a dream...where Deb is dreaming about having some amazing connection with Dexter...she opens up to him about being in love, she knows his deepest, darkest secret...yup...it was all a dream...I used to read Word Up Magazine...

For all you guys thinking it was a dream, I can't find the link to the interview but last night I read one where they talked with one of the producers and one of the questions was if it was a dream sequence and he said it definitely was not. Take that for what you will...but I'm positive it wasn't a dream sequence. I'm very curious to see where they take this storyline now.

Blame Larry for that one. I didn't think it made any sense either.

Not the greatest season or finale. Even though i'm an atheist, I liked the religion angle this season and wish Brother Sam would have lasted a bit longer. Deb finding out has long been overdue.

This is still one of the best shows on TV to me. The way they break down the investigations and have Dexter break down the crime scenes and find the bad guys before the cops do will never get old to me. There is always something said or done that impresses me.

The storyline between Deb and Dex is whatever to me. I see what they are trying to do, I'm interested in seeing how Deb handles it.

For those of you screaming incest, Deb and Dexter haven't done anything yet. Debra is fucked up in the head just like Dexter is, Debra just doesn't know how to take control of her life - Dexter does. They've already hinted at this.

The question is, how will Deb take control of her life? Start killing people with Dexter, or kill Dexter herself, or will Dexter have to kill her? Or will they go an entirely different route?

Nobody knows, that is why this show is still good. You don't know what is going to happen or how they are going to connect the dots all the time.

I don't even care how the show ends, I'm going to watch every episode because it's well done and entertaining.

I'm also really curious about this intern. He has serial killer written all over himself to me.

I finally watched the last episode. God dammit Deb. I wanted her to be the sacrificial lamb. So sick of her. Now I just need Quinn to get transferred out.

Get rid of a bunch of stale characters, inject some fresh faces. This show is primed for a facelift. Something drastic needs to change the landscape.

Anderson's character literally had zero importance at all. I waited the whole season for him to get suspicious about Dexter or something, but all you'd his one line an episode about a bible verse or something. Boring.

To me the most interesting part of the season was bringing back Dexter's brother as his dark passenger. I would have like to have seen that played out over the entire season. I could see the intern acting as an ice truck copy cat killer, and Dexter losing touch with reality and not sure if someone else is doing the killings or if it's he's doing the killings himself under the influence of his dark passenger in the form of his brother. Maybe I'm wrong but that sounds a lot more interesting then the shit season we just went through.

What episode did Anderson come into the show? I don't think he was there the whole season, they're not going to just throw him in there and start getting suspicious right away. They will build on it next season, they had enough shit going on this season.

You know exactly what is going to happen every time. Aside from season 4 the exact same thing has happened at the end of every season.
