Hopefully we don't look forward to the huge game ahead of us this Saturday, when we face Quinnipiac for the NEC regular-season title (more than likely).
 
WOW, anyone watching the SU-Gtown game?

Game is only 5 minutes old and I've seen some of the worst officiating maybe ever in a 5 minute span. If it continues this game will clearly get out of hand.

LOL..I didn't mean fight,,I mean out of hand with bad calls, and the coaches giving the refs ear fulls.

It's so awful even Dickie V is saying it's bad...usually the broadcasters aren't critical of the refs.

LOL,,I told you. You missed the first 5 minutes and how bad it was.

The problem is they are calling the BS fouls and clearly missing a ton of fouls inside underneath that are legit fouls. GT is taking it inside, and Johnson and Jackson are hammering down pretty bad, no fouls.

2nd half.....less than 2 minutes,,,4 fouls.

Top that off with Dickie V praising SU for their defense,,,when the Hoyas are getting space they are just missing wide open shots,,shot after shot.

Think I'm done with this game now,,I've had enough..lol.
 
Robert Morris 64, Sacred Heart 39

We jumped out to a 18-3 lead from the get-go and never let up. Rob Rob finally decided to show up and he led the us with 18 points, while Karon Abraham added 17.

Rob has to be one of the most mentally weak (don't think I worded that right, don't really care) players I've ever seen play. He has a shit load of talent for the mid-major level, but if he misses his first shot or is lackadaisical on defense, then he's basically sulks the entire game. If he starts hitting however, then if our guards keep on feeding him the ball, good things happen like tonight (8-8 FG).

Our walk-on came in with two minutes left to the delight of the crowd and promptly missed five three-point field goals. However, he got that many because every time he missed, we would pull down the offensive board and give him another chance.

19-9 overall and 14-1 in the NEC is real nice. And what's even better is that Quinnipiac (18-8, 12-3 NEC now) fell to St. Francis (PA) (10-16, 8-7 NEC) just minutes ago. So if we beat the Bobcats on Saturday night, then a third-straight NEC regular season title will come back to Robert Morris.

Oh, and our women clinched their third NEC regular season title in the last four years tonight with their win over Sacred Heart.

Marquette is probably not nearly as good as their record, but I give them credit for competing in the Big East. They are a very flawed team. If they don't hit their 3's, they probably aren't going to win.

That said, Pitt is a slop team who I really detest watching. Jamie Dixon has lost his mind (and hair). They are not nearly as good as they were last year (like Marquette).
 
Good to hear Gonzaga is still showing they are, by far, the most overrated team in the country.

It's like the sun rising in the east. Every year Gonzaga inconceivably cracks the Top 10 when they are borderline vote worthy at best.

I can't wait to see them grab an undeserving 3 seed and get bounced by a 14 seed from the Sun Belt/CAA/Patriot league.. etc.

How a team that has the best Set Offense in the nation is a slop team is beyond me. I guess Marquette's go one-on-one and get blocked by McGhee every possession is much less "slop".

Name one team that gets more open layups than Pitt does with their passing?

Sienna just got their bracket busted. They are going to have to win the MAAC tourney. Ronald Moore 0-14. Siena got ran off the court in the 2nd half.

I think the complete lack of size is also huge. Marquette basically run with 4 guards and a Center in Hayward who would rather shoot 3's and midrange J's than actually get his ass into the paint. It also doesn't help that both centers they have on the roster don't play at all (Otule and Mbao) and Junior Cadougan who they expected to play a little this year got hurt. It forces them into running a 6-7 man rotation with little to no size on the court .

I'm a little suprised that they are doing this well to be honest. It was supposed to be a big down year . [I guess you could say the same about Pitt too]
