But here is mine, and it's the worst one EVER.
Kyle Orton, master of the meaningless late TD this year, hits Brandon Lloyd in the end zone on 4th & FUCKING 10, late in the 4th Q.
-League #1: My opponent has Orton. I lose 109-108.
-League #2: My opponent has Lloyd. I lose 138-136.
-League #3: I have SD Defense. TD costs me 2 points. I lose 97-96
The first league is a big $ league where the first place team wins $5k, and the playoff champ gets another $1k. The loss knocked me into 3rd place.
Fantasy Football is the only activity in the world that I truly fucking hate, yet always participate in, because I get suckered into these leagues every year at the last minute...."C'mon man, we need you for 12".
I don't understand how people enjoy this shit. Might as well flip coins for money. Takes zero god damn skill, you don't even need to watch games or follow the league to be "good" at it.
Ever wonder why dumbfucks can consistanly win in Fantasy Football, but never ever win in fantasy baseball? BECAUSE FANTASY FOOTBALL SUCKS.
Tony Soprano once said, that 'remember when' is the lowest form of conversation. Fantasy Football is the lowest form of sports.
which is why I prefer what my friends came up with a few years ago.
We use college teams instead of players
there's 10 of us
he gets a college preview ranking issue for the year and separates
the teams into 10 groups of ten teams, ranking them so everyone gets what appears to be at the beginning an equal number of high to low ranked teams
( forgot how he does it,I'll have to ask again)- we do a drawing to see who gets
what grouping of teams.
we each go head to head with one person each week -3 weeks in the middle are double headers against 2 different people in our league- for first 10 weeks of season
the object- pick the team of your grouping you think will score the most points that week, or more than your opponent plus a different overtime team if needed.
most points wins of course.
if a team is off or playing a 1AA school that week, they are ineligible.
We are allowed/expected to use each team once and can only use 3 of the teams twice during the season. Thats where minor strategy/chance comes into it.
for instance- I had Washington State on my roster this year :y:
do I waste them early because I figure theyll never win or score enough points or do I look at their schedule for a weaker opponent ? Yep, I wasted them early haha
its more chance than strategy for everyone depending on if each week one of your teams is huge in the point spread department so to speak haha.
its cool- he e mails everyone excel spreads of our schedules so they are easy to identify and take care of
