Those of you from MM might know that I picked Villanova to be a Final Four team before the season started, and I don't think anyone else thought that way... so basically, I feel real good about myself after seeing Villanova get to the Final Four today. Heck of a game too.

MSU is looking very, very good. I was hoping Louisville would go further based on my bracket, but it is nice to see a Big Ten team getting to the Final Four.

I can't believe Louisville lost...I thought they'd have an easy road to Final Four especially because of Michigan St. I guess I was wrong.

It should be a great game but just I am not to worried about the crowd. Uconn's game against Missouri felt like it was a Missouri homegame.

I dont care who wins the Oklahoma game, i just want to see Blake get 500 rebounds in his career, which i think means he needs at least 12 this game. Last time i checked, he had 9 and still had the second half to get it.

Again, I don't think he's doubting their past success rather he is pointing to the current trend of not making it past the sweet 16.

You can pretend that outside of 1991-2001 duke has been an elite program, with a legit championship shot nearly every year...but the truth is, that's far from the truth. Anyone who knowns anything about basketball can tell you that.

Ugh. Tweedle-dee and Tweedle-dum are at it again. Gotta love two incredibly biased bandwagon UNC fans acting as if they speak for the entire basketball community. I'm not even a Duke fan but I just HAVE to say something because this is beyond absurd.

Duke had the best team in the nation in 1986. I think they set the NCAA record for most wins that year. Sure, they were upset in the Final by Louisville, but only a moronic UNC "fan" would say that Duke wasn't an elite team that year. Duke also made the Final Four in 88, 89, and 90. They played in the Final in 1990. So, in a nutshell, you have a team from 1986-90 making 2 Finals and 4 Final Fours...and thats not elite?

HA HA HA! Times must be good for UNC "fans" if they can look down upon a team making 4 Final Fours in 5 years.

Can anyone tell me why the Pitt coach (Jamie Dixon, aka "fuckface") decided that very last possession of the game with the score tied would be a great time to try the full-court press for the first time all game? Its beyond comprehension to me. Pitt hadn't pressed all game, they actually lucked out and had managed to tie the game. Their defenders do poorly in space. There was only 5 seconds left, so you'd think Pitt would lay back and force Villanova to shoot a rushed, contested shot. But no! Pitt decides to press, Villanova inbounds the ball and immediately its a 3-on-2 fast break Awful coaching.

Uhh....I thought it was self-explanatory. I really don't know how much clearer I could have made it -- I posted what you said and then posted what 'heelsox' said. If you can't make the connection (i.e. the obvious direct contradiction) between the two things I posted, then I can't really add anything else that would make you understand.

You said that Heelsox wasn't doubting Duke's past success, then Heelsox claimed that Duke wasn't an elite program when in a span of 5 years from 1986-1990 they made 4 Final Fours and 2 Finals.

Kind of funny when people have such blatant biases that cloud their better judgment. You are a normal guy except when it comes to college basketball and the moderation of the MM forum!
