But, but, but ... Moss quit on RUSTY SMITH! He is letting down the franchise he just joined, and the 52 guys in the locker room he just met two weeks ago!

Forgive me for not sympathizing with a player who refused to play for one of the league's best teams. And also forgive me for sympathizing with a player who has been on 3 teams in 2 months, 2 of which have terrible QBs.

Moss's numbers are irrelevant at this point, because he's playing with fucking Rusty Smith. This is a lost season.

But guess what? It's still better than anything Vincent Jackson has done all season. And had Moss stayed in New England, his "half-assed" numbers would have equaled Vincent Jackson's career averages. So basically, by not trying, Moss managed to give the Patriots Vincent Jackson type of production. That got him traded.

You seem to be saying that Moss's struggles this season aren't because of his own doing. Moss is a quitter. What's his famous line, "I play when I want to play"? He's surely making good on that statement isn't he? I bet if he played with a better QB like Brady or Favre this season he'd be playing lights out like in 1998.

I actually am a big Moss fan and during his peak he was the best WR in the game handsdown, but the fact remains its obvious the guy just doesn't care anymore. You guys keep excusing his lack of production with the fact that Rusty Smith is the QB, but he wasn't doing anything before that, which is why he's on his 3rd team this year. Its funny though, because with Jackson the argument is that he's a poor locker room guy, yet Moss is on his 3rd team because his production no longer covers for his apathy and locker room behavior. Belickick wouldn't have traded him if he knew the team would struggle without him and Minnesota surely wouldn't have given up a high draft pick if they believed he could still get it done.

The stat was from before the game. CBS made a big deal out of it.

Anyway, if you add in those 7 carries for 5 yards from today, it probably balances out.

By the way, because you pushed the issue I did the math, and Johnson is now averaging 5.6 ypc with Moss, as compared to 4.1 without....including the 7 carries for 5 yards he had yesterday.

I'm not saying you have to credit the presense of Moss for that, but what else has changed? Woy watches the games, I don't, and he says there is a difference in the way defenses have approached the Titans.

Just saying that his presence hasn't been enough to create wins. He's Lazy and has a BAD attitude which becomes a locker room cancer.

He never went over the middle, doesn't put forth any effort unless he is the #1 target and not get double covered.

The locker room division and pain in the ass stuff doesn't outweigh the production.

If he were a #3 receiver, great guy in the locker room, giving maximum effort, I would take his production and be thrilled.

A pain in the ass, lazy, locker room cancer, and that production isn't worth it. He becomes more of a detriment. Hence 3 teams in half a season.

My point is, his limited production hasn't translated into wins. Minny is now N-0 w/o him. NE is doing fine w/o him. Titans 0-N with him.

He just doesn't seem worth it. How the hell do you get kicked off of a SB contending team? Not worth it.

I like Jackson and while I would honestly take him over Moss at this point in their careers, it was one game. Big game tonight though.

Anyone that would want Moss on their team at this point in his career has something mentally wrong with them. He's turning 34 in 2 months, he hasn't cracked 100 yards this season, has a 3-7 record in games he has played in and is averaging 3 catches for 35 yards over the last 10 games.

He has 9 catches for 100 yards and 1TD in his last 5 games.. lol

Jackson had better numbers than those tonight.

2 more touchdowns and he ties Moss for the season, 234 yards to tie Moss for the season.

What kind of numbers do you guys think Moss would be putting up with Rivers? Jackson with RUSTY SMITH?

Moss + Brady, and Moss was on pace for what Moss does.

To me, nothing has changed. Both are turds, one is in an awful situation (caused by his own doing), the other selfishly missed more than half the season (caused by his own doing), and all things being equal, I'd take Moss. Jackson is just a guy.
