And why do you keep bringing up things like blind side hits and Chris Harris talking about football being a contact sport? Is this new information? Who cares? What does that have to do with bounties?

If there's a bounty out on a player to knock him out the game legally and with a clean hit then who really cares? What difference does it really make?

You're not trying to injure him necessarily. What you are trying to do is hit him so hard that he can't come back out. What's so bad about that? It's what these guys do anyway and it is what they are encouraged to do regardless of this stupid "bounty" program.

If the bounty is for actually going for somebody's knee or head or something like that then it's an entirely different story.

Knubb, this is not an overreaction. The fact that the Saints play bad defense does not get them off the hook. This is terrible PR for the league, street thug shit, and very unethical and disgusting behavior.

You are out of your fucking mind. You have no idea about what goes in an NFL locker room or on that football field. Guys routinely eye gouge, twist ankles, punch cocks, etc. at the bottom of the piles all the time. This has been going on for YEARS. So setting the obvious breaks in the collective bargaining agreement and NFL rules aside for a moment, just to be clear, you ethically have no issues with coaches slapping ten grand on the table and saying "Here you go fellas, TEN LARGE to the guy who injures Manning! Go get him!", you think this sort of thing is normal, and has a place in a professional football locker room?

lol I have played football. I have been on the field to know that. Too many decisions to be made sir. Take a DT(What I played). You have to play your gap and maintain gap control as well as recognize the play. Once you see the play(pass for example) you must pursue, but you can't just chase down the QB. You have to take your angle and play parallel to the LOS or else you'll get left. All that goes down in the matter of 8 or so seconds.

I haven't but I have friends a lot of friends who have that I played with and am still in touch with. A few of these guys are in the NFL today.

Maybe it's because I never played for Gregg Williams or the great Butch Cattolico, but I can not recall a football coach ever telling me to "knock people out".

You are failing to grasp the concept of why offering money in exchange for the injury of another human being is wrong, and you are hiding behind your exaggerated and false ideas that football is about hurting people. Football is about scoring more points that the other team. Any football coach that teaches young people that football is about hurting people should not be around kids, and any adult who offers money in exchange for injuring someone is probably committing a criminal act, to be honest.
